It confuses me as to why our BoD even expect ‘bonus shares’ when they have accepted their high positions for the spectacular salaries we valued them at - so having achieved nothing remarkable, they should not expect to have further wealths heaped upon them.

….maybe not light up the oil fields, but perhaps the distribution and export infra instead.

That would cause all wells to be shut in just as effectively as smoking them (Sleepy Joe may not understand that until its a done & dusted).

I fear it is dangerous to retain a large sum of money on our books as this will be obvious to the tribal lords who control our every move.

They will rationalize that this obscene profit we hold at bank has been made from their oil in their country and belongs therefore to them. How much of this will filter down to the poor population is seen historically……

Better therefore to distribute these monies among us shareholders - who have invested to make this company function, have swallowed the various ploys to avoid or delay payments for many years on various lame duck excuses, and pushed us close to bankruptcy several times (had we ceased to trade - guess who would have taken over to operate ?).

So, prudent to keep a warchest to tide us over the certainty of reduced payments (which we can for sure anticipate again in the future) but don’t poke the greedy camel by teasing it with our bulging water bags.

Yahoo will not leave Iran with a budding nuke potential - he will prioritise that first, then the supreme leader, then oil fields, then logistics.

Iranians will be bombed back into the stone age before Israel will sleep soundly again.

Huge sympathy for the decent population - but that’s the price of allowing fanatics to take over your country.

A lot of local effort and meetings - in both Erbil and Baghdad - will be devoted to ways of avoiding paying us our overdue arrears (plus tax, according to what I hope are spelled out in some contract clauses with ‘whoever’).

Someone somewhere has benefitted from not paying the monies received from export sales for the product we delivered.

Is there no legal recourse (via eg Paris Arbitration Courts - which rulled on the illegal sales to Turkey - and of course have resulted in the interminable, and ostensibly unenforceable, pipeline huffy puffy closure)?

Our BoD must stay aware of being caught up in an all incompassing contract deal which smoothes over the minor item of our debtors.

The $10 mil buybacks:

…… you’ll be held to that promise ;)

Yeh good news for once…. but let’s watch where the next buybacks end up.

Buybacks NEVER benefit the SP - only if held as Treasure in treasury (for some benfactors).

Just the usual - opportunistic local tribal warlords grabing some cash while the pickings present themselves and the opportunity to make an honest buck - ostensibly to give to the poor.

Our (soon even wealthier) BoD should benefit us by doing some lateral thinking in these turbulent times.

eg stop filling any tankers until out debts are paid - that would have the PUK and the KDP blending over a bbl to reinstate their current gravey train.

If Israel succeeds in wiping out Iran’s production or distribution - China and India will surely nervous enough to be hunting for alternative sources of ready production.

How about buying out us little IOCs squirming along trying to make an honest oil dollar in corrupt Kurdistan ?

Maybe even the Erbil tribal heads won’t mess the might of China and India around - if the signing fees are astronomical enough ?

Things could well become very rosey very quickly and very exciting around here.

Presumeably the IDF will take out all of Iran’s nuke facilities, then all rocket related systems, then their oil and gas production and distribution facilities……

Best not to mess with a devout, educated any socially equable country which is fully backed by Western finances and technology.

717 million dormant shares languishing ‘in treasury’ - sounds a safe and prudent action by our BoD, eh ?

I worry that they will be squirreled out as massive bonuses to our already fabulously rewarded management (who accepted their Jobs at the salaries offerred), in return for prudently and professionally taking actions which drive our Company into growth and increasing prosperity.

Any external events causing us to grow will do……

Don’t panic …. we dish out foreign aid to them to update and streamline their production……. They don’t care about freezing pensioners (or ghastly pollution) either.

But,

Tehran will be redoubling efforts to arm his successor with a thermo- nuke device (or a dirty plutonium alternative).

“Almost all voted for it” is a misleading statement as most hold the shares via 3rd parties, so couldn’t vote anyway. (The default would be ”agree” no doubt).

Our BoD are not proactive, and this is a tiny oil company.

Better that they focus on takeover/buyout candidates….but Oh - what’s that well thumbed stack of Aston Martin brochures doing in the boardroom….. and adverts for bijoux properities in Tuscany (must be time to self-award some buyback shares about now)?

Anything but further loses in oil Cos.

When Netflix screens the next series of The Diplomat soon - the SP will surge again (it was that good).

Seriously considering getting into some proper investments - like netflix, tesla, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon …. and just accept the surety that they will probably double my investment every couple of years.

Oil is sunk and appears to have lost its sparkle :(
