Hamm ; believe it or not it's not a binary choice. I am trading for real on Nasdaq right now, albeit with smallish amounts of shares whilst I gain experience. It's highly scaleable, and that's the beauty of it if you can make it work.

And I can hold my 1.5m Matd shares as long as I like thank you. Or sell some and keep the rest. Or sell them all eventually. Or keep them all for years - it depends. However we are talking about entirely different disciplines - day or swing trading are very different to just putting money into a given share and holding for years.

Hopist ; check out the 2022 chart for Matd. Don't you think that it is very similar ?

That had a large move up in December, having languished at about 1.8p by the end of November. I'm hoping that it mirrors the 2022 chart by the end of 2024.

Thank goodness I've filtered WOS at last.

Shame though that before I filtered him I never found out why he vanished from the board for a whole month straight after the raise, having previously rubbished the viewpoints of any who thought that a raise might be imminent. Another one whose ' sage ' advice I can do without.....

Hamm ; unlike some on here, I assess what works and what doesn't work. I've been invested in Matd for just over 5 years now, and the current share price speaks volumes. I hope that it will rerate eventually, however I'm not confident of the way that the share action works - it's weird. Actually, I would be more than happy with a takeover, and be done with it.

And you've been saying ' buy buy buy ' when the share price was 7p, 5p, 4p etc. In your world, it's always the best time to buy....You even declared on here ' guys, there is no risk ' months prior to the district committee voting on whether to grant the land access. In fact the company might well have gone bust had the committee voted NO.

So I don't feel that I need any of your advice thank you - especially wise advice urging me to sell whilst underwater having held for more than 5 years.

Oh, and don't forget all the ' shorting ' nonsense that you post when in fact no shares are available to borrow. And seemingly you can't get your head around the fact that derivatives are not the same as the underlying asset.

I don't think that you are malicious - however as Adw said, you are most likely just a little bit dim.

I can't help but be extremely frustrated by Matd's share price, having held for just over 5 years now.

I've just been watching a 1m real time chart of Bit Digital over on Nasdaq. It's just gone from $4.5 at 10am eastern time to being halted at $15.75 at 10.56 eastern time. Quite amazing - the crypto world is on fire right now. Being locked into Matd is hugely frustrating - I need it back to the mid 3s asap.

The Chinese have form in terms of SP manipulation. I wouldn't put it past them at all.

And PC is a state enterprise.

I'm a bit miffed that Pantheon Resources has risen 25% on news that it has commenced drilling, yet the Matd share price did not budge an inch once production actually started. All very strange.

Proinvestor ; yes, the subsidiary description on the Petrovis website has always seemed odd to me. Perhaps it's just been carelessly written, or maybe it's Petrovis trying to bask in the credit of Matd being an oil producer ? Not sure about the mechanics of a takeover if it is even in some way a partial subsidiary?

Pro investor ; Matd is a subsidiary of Petrovis according to the Petrovis website.

With due respect, it's quite an assumption to believe that opinions voiced on here will materially impact on the share price. I for one don't believe that. For some reason there's a high degree of paranoia prevalent on here - "those dastardly shorters " etc even though seemingly there are no shares available to borrow, and even though any derivatives shorted with on IG or City Index are not the underlying asset, so don't impact on the share price.

And I think that trying to guess people's motives on here is a bit of a waste of time. Personally speaking, having first bought over 5 years ago, and with 1.5 million shares I just want the share price to get to a decent level so that I can then decide whether to at least get rid of some of my holding, given that currently I am overweight with it. And I want to hear all opinions - not to just be in some kind of an echo chamber. I think you will find though that most people on here are long term holders, and those who are trading the share short term tend to come out openly and state this. I think they are very much in the minority though.

And I think you will find that some of those who have held for many years have tended to grow a tad cynical at times after years of raises and false dawns. Frankly, it's their prerogative to be that way if they so choose, as it's been a very rough ride at times. Most will have been underwater for most of the time that they have held their shares.

Hamm ; given that you are always talking about shorting, can you clarify how many Matd shares there are which are available to borrow ? Please let us all know.

And please also explain how derivatives which are not the underlying asset can impact on the actual share price.

Nomadme ; it's good to work these thoughts out in our minds though. IMO very little attention seems to be made to the actual price action, and what it may be telling us about what the market professionals are doing at any given point.

I feel that even with a decent rerate, the price action will always settle back into a range of some kind. It always has in the past.

Depends who is trading. If the MMs are using their own accounts to flip shares between the bid and the ask then a wider spread increases their profits.
