In fact my only typo was the date - it was actually the 10th July 2023, when the share price plummeted to 1.8p on the open and then hit 6.5p on the same day. Classic MM manipulation.

Y-Alam ; we had a similar share price drop straight after what was in fact a mildly positive RNS back in July 2022. It plummeted to 1.8p on the open, and then recovered to shoot up to 6.5p on the same day. It's the MMs marking the price down sharply in order to hoover up any stops that have been placed and to shake out a load of bagholders.

H2 isn't good news, however H1 is. I'm sure that the agreement with PC will be sorted very shortly.

I mean the selling is relentless whether it is close to a resistance line within the trading range or not. So that indicates that it's not just traders, and anyway with quite a wide spread it's not exactly ideal for trading, unless you are a MM and can buy on the bid and sell on the ask.

As for swing traders and long term traders, why would you be selling just when production has started ?

I would be fine with 7p for a takeover, but ideally more around 10p.

Stas ; well it is really isn't it.

Some trolls on here mocking professional day traders that I monitor on YouTube in their clips, however they are light years ahead of a typical retail trader who does this kind of thing on the side. There is a ' get rich quick ' element to it, whereas professional traders are very hard working and super dedicated almost to the point of being obsessive. And they tend to be always open minded and open to learning.

Which proves that the only predictable thing about the Matd share price is that it is unpredictable.

And that those who try to predict it will pretty well always be wrong. So why do they bother ? IMO it's almost as though people are trying to persuade themselves that what they believe must be true, even if really it's just wishful thinking.

Hamm's 30p + on production really says it all.

Oh, and WOS' pet theory for weeks on end of Miton selling due to redemptions is dead in the water now.

Where's the manipulation coming from though Researchandhold ? I personally don't think that a few comments on here will shake LTHs out of shares. And there's no shorting going on, as no shares are available to borrow.

That selling is coming from somewhere - it has to be either the MMs flipping shares or a concerted effort from some other source. It's nothing to do with the raise now.

My guess is that a takeover is in the offing.

Spot on. All that matters ultimately is the share price, not some pie in the sky belief in ' great prospects as revealed by the fundamentals.' The share price is real - prospects for the future are subjective.

Coldspy ; by the way, I'm glad that someone else tends to go by charts. Actually, hat's been my big mistake with this share - it wasn't until about 2023 that I started properly looking at a Matd chart. All along I should have been dipping in and out according to what I was seeing on the charts.

My approach has totally changed now - now to me charts are more important than fundamentals. Price action doesn't lie as revealed by studying charts, however sometimes price action can become detached from the fundamentals, as we are probably seeing right now. At the end of the day we can be as positive as we like about the fundamentals, but ultimately all that really counts is what the share price is doing.

Coldspy ; I agree about the manipulation, however I'm not sure that there are people on here who are trying to manipulate the share price. I'm just not sure that a board such as this one has any material impact on the share price.

Have you ever read the ADVN board ? That has some people with a real grudge against MB and the company posting on there. Again though, I don't believe that what they write has any effect on the share price. This obvious suppression of the share price, and the persistent rigid adherence to a very tight range which has been going on now since the beginning of Sept must be down to bigger forces than just a few retail investors posting on boards.

I agree. I mean look how much capital has been expended in order to get production finally started. All those years of frustration and expense. £100m would be more like it. I would take that valuation, as right now I feel that I want to move on sooner rather than later.

This does rather beg the question as to why you are risking your hard earned cash on AIM ?

I've already decided that when I get out of Matd I wont touch AIM again with a barge pole. I guess we live and learn through some tough experiences.

More than 5 years holding the shares, and we have a rock bottom share price despite production having started.

Pantheon Resources have had a decent move up due to drilling having started - our share price has done absolutely nothing after a string of great RNS releases, and production actually starting at long last. Last year quite soon after a Feb raise the share price soared to 6p and then again to 7p on basically nothing but hot air and with absolutely no land access consent.

Hamm ; with hindsight I think that the raise was more obvious than I realised back then. I should have been more critical.

I hope that all the LTHs in particular do well from this eventually. It's been a long, rough ride.

Hamm ; out of the 1.5m shares which I own, bought in 15 stages starting from August 2019, I have never sold a single share, though I wish that I had on the various spikes to 5p, 6p or 7p. My mistake. And I wish that I had sold the lot just prior to the last raise and then bought back in again. Again, my mistake.

Nobody here would be happier than me if there was a big rerate upwards. Many of the long term people however are jaded, and the current share price is a disgrace really. I'm mainly hoping for a takeover, as the price action often defies belief - why did the price not even react after all the recent RNS releases and the start of production ? A JV would be my next preference. Anything else, and a raise is quite possible.
