This shorting and using the BH conv makes no sense:
So they placed a short within the last 2 weeks when the SP was more than 13p (their cost) and are covering with the conversions - but are they becasue they can't cover without having the actual shares and they aren't going to be issued for at least 3 months if not longer (see RNS says within 12 months) - so there is huge risk that those shorts will go badly wrong within that timeframe.

PLUS theres the 119% early redemption charge which effectly makes their cost back to 16.75p so much less chance of making money on a short.

It just doesnt hold water - but the shorters on the board will keep trying to scare people with the idea that all the BH's are shorting and going to convert their shares and we will be massively diluted bla bla bla

I do find this convo bond and conversion very interesting - only really trying to understand how it works and why a BH would convert. I've tried to work the numbers out and it does seem converting isn't exactly making the BH big money so it must just be some of the minor BH's never wanted to remain long term so its a quick flip for them for a small profit.

BUT of the possible 150m share for the Bonds only 12m have been converted so Im bot exactly panicking about major dilution at this point.

i think thats very risky opening a covered short with possible 12 months before they can cover and in that time they are earning zero interest on the bond they held = seems a bit pointless.

However we do know there were a number of bondholders with probably the main "long term investor" covering most of the bonds - so there bound to be som eof the minor bondholders that just did this for a quick buck.

Ironhode you can't possibly be serious suggesting a takeover entity can just buy the open market shares !!!!

As soon as any sort of volume buying starts happening the price will rocket .. 260m shares, 30% for a takeover and we already know nobody owns over 3%

still there dumping all over the share ... expect its a forced seller at these levels.

Why do you think this? CUDA income was not attributable to COPL at any point; COPL were holding back paying CUDA the royalty revenue becuase CUDA was bust and owed COPL a lot of money - this all came out in the wash when COPL paid for CUDA. At that point all revenue is now COPL only

Was a reasonably good hedge until Putin invaded Ukraine and oil jumped from 60 to 110, now about 90

they are making money on the gas hedge but losing on the oil. Would make sense to buy out of the 23/24 hedge at least depending on the cost to buy out.
OIL is only going up in the short term

They did say they might buy out the hedge with some of the RBL, ... i guess it down to if they think oil will stay asignificantly at or above the hedge. Ex Cuda share is unhedged already.

Just looked at the presentation again and this waxing problem is on lower production wells - so Im not to worried.

The good news is that anumber of wells are now converted from pumping to flowing .... once they get the flaring approved it should massively increase output.

why do you have it as 1/3rd so far .... I haven't seen that figure quoted by COPL anywhere? I thought it was more like RS covered about 80%

Its been NT to buy for most of the last 3 weeks .... You just have to be lucky to get a quote; I've just gone with placing limit orders a few times and it gets filled. BUT this is classic MM's deterring PI's buying and filling orders for ii's.

If people didnt think there would be cash rasies then they are DUMB AS. This is an oil exploration co and they will always be coming for money until production is results in positive cashflow.

the issue here is Arts constant misleading nature ... saying there would be no raises then next week doing a raise. Saying $8m was to secure CUDA and then going for a convo bond (on horrendous terms) ... what happened to the $8m ???

What gets on my **** with companies these days is they seem to raise equity at the worst possible moment .... why not have done a raise in the 30's if they new they needed the monay, why wait for SP to on a downtrend !!

Anyway middle drawer for me ... hoping we see a turnaround in the SP over the next 3 months ... lots of news lets just hope its positive for once

COPL have said that we should see prod increases from August so we won't know until end of Sept. They need to start showing much higher prod figures now and stop just saying the MF work is going really well and and they are seeing significant improvement because the hard numbers dont back up the over enthusiastic language they have been using for the fixes they "say" they have been putting in place.

Its going to be interesting to see if they have been holding production back (on the QT) until CUDA was signed
