Well done. It's a fair hike. Pal of mine ran the 3 peaks for his 60 birthday and I was waiting for him on the top of Pen y Ghent with supplies. He was late, very late but eventually arrived to say that one of the stage runners had fallen into a bog and had sunk up to his armpits. They had had to rescue him and he had returned home in some state of shock. Surprising number of people do it by themselves and whilst now it can be quite busy, there are times when it can be a lonely for a long distance runner. That could catch on as a book title.

Jonners, you want to know 'why you should do it'. Rather than basing any decision on other people's views or reasoning, I am more inclined to say that you should do it only once you have made your own mind up to have a dabble following your own research, at a time that suits you and at a price you feel is right. That is the only 'why' and then it is your decision and pure, and your future position, be it profit or loss, is a result of your own ability to decide what you do.

These past months have been a test for those who have invested, especially with the general silence and negative market sentiment, even more so when other opportunities have been quite bouyant. For me, currently, news has to come in the relatively near future and on balance, I would expect that to be positive. Happy to carp from the sidelines at the lack of updates, not unhappy enough to say sod it and spit the dummy - but I am still up, even at current prices

Hi, CM. Kicked into touch is not the end of the game, just needs to be thrown back in, which in some respects also answers Kopf's query. Apparently the PFS would have been helped with the background knowledge provided by throughput from the pilot plant. I seem to remember that this was to be assessed at Richards Bay which we know has had its own recently resolved issues. Meanwhile the pilot plant supposedly needed the mining licence to provide it with its raw material.

The long grass has been able to grow waiting for RT to sort out Richards Bay, prior to the Moz Gov, prior to ML, prior to pilot plant, prior to PFS, and the onwards to DFS and FID - all a beautiful move from throw in, down the line to a try in the opposite corner. At this point, I shall remind myself that this is not seen very often and is wont to break down, but we can live in hope.

My understanding is that an all encompassing 10,000 page document was submitted for the mining licences so if it was a requirement, then presumably it was done and forms part of this submission. The mining licence was submitted in Jan 2018 (memory so ?) and so we were looking for the six month reply but were then advised that the clock didn't start ticking until April for some reason, so that meant a reply Oct 2018, and of course we are now almost Aug 2019.

This was for the mining licence, not the PFS, which from the report last week we found out had been deactivated, primarily because the work required using the pilot plant could not be completed as the mining licence was needed to use the pilot plant - chicken and egg. Someone flagged the change in Moz last week to 'in force', but as yet, obviously, the implication of this has not been announced.

CM, thou dost jest and are too kind. Balanced. I find that hard to believe when I was also marked as a top 5 SAV rampers just a few weeks ago in that analysis that was doing the rounds. I was looking to make some sort of analogy should there be a similar sort of grading system for company analysts as Ofsted dishes out for schools but thinking about it, their inspectors are effectively analysts themselves. Everyone's outstanding.

Look forward to sharing a beer or two again at some stage, maybe later this year should they run another event once they have been de-gagged and are able to say something of interest again. Too much has been going on behind a heavy curtain over the past 9 months.

I have often wondered if there has been anyone minded to research and publish the stats on how close brokers TPs correlate to the actual SPs following their guidance notes, or say 1/2/3 months post an expected event such as a DFS. Might make interesting reading.

An interesting take on the value curve for hard rock. We are heading towards the turning point at least in sentiment. I understand that SAV are currently underpriced to the norm and no co-products are included which would be our favour.

Yes. In the report it says they are reviewing the position and have obviously downgraded it. But they do keep the door potentially open, should things progress there, effectively saying put up or we are off. After God knows how long, as you say, they have reviewed endlessly, issued edicts and still not actually issued the MLs even with everything answered. Only so much unrequited love.

At least the package is better than what was originally bought and should be of interest as a ready made meal for someone else that might have patience and less to do elsewhere. If they do finally give the MLs, great. If they don't, so be it. The world moves on whatever.

Coming to the end of the day and no posts, no participation, no comment on a day when no comment is perhaps well deserved.

We wake up generally hoping that the red dot would confirm news and hope beyond hope, that the news is relevant and value accretive.. Very few days are red dot days, and not all of those are destined to put a smile on the face. News that the great white hope that was copper in Oman has lost its lustre is disappointing but the frustration in many ways is a product of a lack of comment. Whilst it is not settled, at least and finally there has been comment and bearing in mind the potential in Portugal it is hardly surprising that it has taken its place in the priority list (above Finland?).

Portugal marches on at a pace. Moz continues at its slow pace. But further news on both fronts is due at some stage, some sooner than later. With a come clean in Oman, I am happy to see continuing timely updates on what would certainly seem to be better horses to back.

Hi CM, we obviously know that Fortescue are all over the map for the auctions. One of my Portuguese eyes and ears has been saying that Chinese interest has been involved in lots of activity in Portugal. It will be interesting to see how their Government plays this as they have already said that it will depend on the consortiums being prepared to commit to the concentrating and processing of he raw material, plus the attitude of EU in providing financial support.

Always an opportunity to see just how xenophobic the EU is as far as the supply chain is concerned.
