Another two years on and still no nearer, and that's Oman. These family houses have a multitude of fingers in a multitude of pies. Much like a large country estate, they have built up assets over years and can carry them without having to exploit them immediately, knowing that they will be useful at some stage and can be developed when the time is right ie when other infrastructure is in place etc and their further investment has better overall returns. Stargazing in the light pollution free desert mountains can help develop an eternal view of time not well matched to an AIM investor. Hopefully all these stars are beginning to align after what has been an age, though what the end result is, this mushroom has no idea. Personally I would quite like to see us keep our interest and develop it. Maybe April will bring news.

As what would seem to be the main eu front runner for Li raw material supplies, this is set to get interesting as you say.

I do find it a bit surprising that even with this pole position and all the background major players now showing their hands, the level of current overall interest still generates only a modicum of activity. I am no English don, but from previous posts that seemed to imply that the the UCL Boffins were looking at alternative battery technologies, your most recent would seem to suggest that the UCL boys and girls have fallen into Li-ne and accept that lithium is the way forward, at least currently. Or am I misinterpreting what I should understand from your construct?

One Mr Kipling, the self publicist, tells all that he makes exceedingly good cakes. The better one wrote some exceptional poetry and indeed speeches. 'If' is just one of those and helps put things into perspective, promoting self reliance in thought and actions, with generosity and understanding to others, whoever they might be. Not seen anything though seems to be comment that there may be further information forthcoming during the upcoming April conference in Oman. Whatever / whenever, as it has been for a few years now, as we simply wait until the Omani authorities decide on whatever the ground rules are to be, and then let people know what those T&Cs are so we can decide on involvement, or not. Meanwhile our plate elsewhere gets busier.

Watch all spaces would be my motto of the month / quarter / half year. Aside from Portugal that looks set to pop, and the Nostradamus predictions on Moz coming soon-ish, we even seem to have a possibility of something starting to rumble in Oman, assuming the recent signing of decrees is what we have been waiting for.

As far as Portugal goes, no doubt there will be European partners and initially with no converters or producers, any product may need to be shipped abroad anyway. As time changes, so might that hopefully but it's all in the future and the structure of any company I don't see as an issue. Exciting times ahead.

What I particularly like about this is that the level of the announcement. The fact that both Germany and France, at government level have now made initial commitment, confirms decisions have been made and there is fundamental support for a Eu supply chain. Just need the Portuguses gov to reveal their plans now and follow up the other governments announcements.

OTH, I know you are only joking as in amongst jam, marmalade and chutney, damson and sloe gin making, along with making sure Her Sereeness, Mrs Mitty doesn't need to paddle, plus the occasional game of bridge, and a cheeky pint, I also read the papers in the local newsagent, scanning he sections of interest before returning them to the turning stand. I do wish I had realised that they were on the internet available to all at the touch of a finger. Just think of how many bacon butties I did not need to have waited for.
