Would agree as I'm Not sure that there is any other logical conclusion, other than questioning the presence of logic in the first place. The incentive has always been there, in and out of focus as copper prices or oil revenues have gone up or down. There seems to be a disconnect between the blindingly obvious and getting on with it. Is it a misread of their objectives that denies any mutual advance?

That might well be the case for those auction areas that fall under Gov control. However, in true Herod style, the Gov have given the decision to the Municipality as far as SAV and Barosa are concerned. Need to get beyond the mining code, the EIA and agreement from the municipality, or will the Government take back the control and apply their global gain hurdle. Oh for a majority.

Problem with an 80% drop over 2yrs is that it then needs a 500% rise to get back to sq1, let alone dilution along the way. It will need to motor along to an overreaction on the upside again.

The delay would appear to be because of the additional detail needed to cover off any impact from the proposal on Spain (30 km away to the north and further away to the east) rather than downstream to the coast in the west. I for one would rather have this nettled now rather than it come up as an item during or after the EIA but would not expect it to take forever.

Understood originally that EIA was being submitted in early Jan to be followed up with local engagement. If recent comms are to be believed, then this has nudged back by a number of weeks but we saw the relative speed for Lucors EIA to be seen, and therefore I am not sure 'that it must be assumed that an even longer delay can be expected' to take it out of the Q2 landing zone.

CM, hi. Has the SAV EIS even been submitted yet? Not seen any mention of it and as Shareitup has found out, direct front door channels would seem to be closed as tightly as the non existent back channels have ever been.

Can but assume that the EIS will be in line with the new environment rules at least and unlike the intended auctions, there are no further postponements.

I don't think any company will put out an rns out to confirm that a project in unfunded. Rightly, they let people work that out for themselves as it is not that difficult.

Post licences, they are discussing the ways forward and no doubt we shall hear once things are agreed. Personally, I think that the MLs are / have been the key and now that they are awarded and certain, it gives them a chance to redraw the previous map as they launch the new entity, as had been planned for post award.

An enormous body of work was done for the ML application and I doubt that there are many gaps in the knowledge or modelling after all the extensive drilling etc that was done. In many ways as an existing owned asset, it is not as if a PFS / DFS needs to be presented to investors or lenders for massive amounts of funding to ramp up production with its guaranteed offtake partner. I wonder if they will crack on with developing some of the high grade as quickly as possible and use some of the income generated to pay for the more formal documentation and assessments for the file.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
