Razor - the way I understand it is that if the SP doesn't beat the option price this loan will be conducted in a conventional manner with repayments, probably cash ( based on past performance ) but with CERP having option to pay in shares using the formula prescribed.

The previous loan was conducted mainly on the above basis save for the 2 occasions when Lind thought they would be able to make more money by taking shares .

This type of loan becomes much more rewarding for the lender if the SP takes off because they can convert some or all of the o/s loan balance to shares at the option price . Before shareholders get the lynching party out for me think of it as accretive funding - many of you would be happy for someone to buy into CERP at a higher than market price - LIND get that option for close to 2 years but for an amount that reduces monthly as loan repayments are made.

LIND also get a second bite at the cherry as it seems to me they can oblige CERP to borrow again up to 50% of the Tranche 1 and 2 loans and then convert those loans to shares at the option price.

There are also 5 year share options included in the deal.

There are many scenarios here but not too much to worry about. LIND will make lots of money out of this if the SP takes off like a rocket but then existing shareholders will be raking it in as well in that scenario.

The alternative would have been a Placing and LK had ruled that out so this deal looks a good arrangement.

Shellguy - clearly everyone entitled to their view. RNS is checked by the NOMAD and carries much greater weight than media with many followers of the company which is why there was a reaction to the rns as it was believed that Casca was already funded so why state it was for that as well as for general expenses.

PB had already mentioned in the media that he had been talking to the bank about increased borrowing for pipeline/ infrastructure so it would not have raised eyebrows if he had given that or one of the later drills as the reason.

Most followers of the company don't have the detailed knowledge of company officials and that's why they forensically examine rns because the words and phrases are chosen very carefully. Experienced old dogs know that there are clues in said and unsaid - the positive here is that they did say they were ' currently drilling ' so nightmare stuck drill or similar scenarios are hopefully ruled out!
