Prossie - apologies the Trinidad update wasn't the failure you were looking for but it's satisfied me. The company have put the work in to caress the extra production out and the new management will be learning all the time how best to optimise this field - the increase in WTI in the meantime has been handy.

The Goudron field is the stable base - serious money is in the SWP development which is progressing - try not to worry too much for the existing shareholders Prossie !

rossannan - I've just noticed your comment about Goudron EPSC and am beginning to understand why you view the ex - CERP assets so negatively!

We don't know the terms of the recently concluded ' Enhanced ' PSC but assuming NO BETTER terms the $50 WTI oil price is no longer a significant issue. Those of you new to the CERP assets may be interested in the following:-

Prior to the recent change in legislation by Trinidad Government ( operative for fiscal years 2021 and 2022 ) the SPT operated at WTI levels exceeding $50 which meant that the net payment per barrel of oil when the price slightly exceeded $50 was massively less than the net payment at say $49 per barrel.

Now that from 2021 fiscal year SPT will be applied when WTI exceeds $75 this huge disincentive has been removed which should encourage investment in Trinidad oil fields.

Getting back to the Goudron EPSC, assuming no change to terms there is an increase in royalty percentage payment when WTI exceeds $50 which means CERP/ BPC get a little less in the range $50 to $55 but worst case it's around $3 per barrel so not hugely significant in the overall scheme whereas previously that reduction plus SPT was crippling. Once WTI exceeds $55 the net payment per barrel exceeds the net payment at $50 and from there on payments steadily increase.

The Goudron field operates on a Production Sharing Contract with Trinidad Government and BPC plan to increase production from it in the near term - a useful source of income with a long track record of production, subject to diligent husbandry! The Saffron drill and development in SWP are not on a PSC but are on licence so the net payment per barrel of oil is significantly higher - hence the salivation about the terms as well as the potential ( Irene doesn't like me saying it but BPC have taken on my observation and now include possible association of SWP with Soldado Offshore Fields in their presentations! )

Getting back to rossannan- try and understand the ramifications of the new tax regime and it's impact on ex-CERP assets ! To all you BPC haters of CERP just ignore my post but sleep more soundly in the knowledge that the parachute is in good shape !

I see you have trotted out your one trick pony again - ' how many bopd will it produce ' - Krapper no one knows until it happens - people can speculate, including BPC - what's wrong with that ? Speculation is quite normal for Oil Exploration and Production companies tends to be less common with Savings Accounts but you could try your one trick line on the Post Office - they've probably have stranger requests!

Arry - you should also take the opportunity of epiphany to stop whining on about how the BOD should have taken a deal X years ago - as a newbie to BPC I don't disagree with you, from a hindsight position but how does that help anyone here unless you want a new BOD in which case you need to enlist help of NED ( that's how Ritson was moved on at LGO) - best wait until after the P1 result though - you may have many followers or just Krapper, rossannan and Prossie!

Re Koot and the rns does anyone know if Tilney Investment Management have to disclose if they sell some or all of those BPC shares ?

Icemax - I doubt anyone who contributes to this board believes a P1 duster would be positive for the SP but even those who are negative on ex-CERP assets grudgingly seem to acknowledge the company will survive and even the dispassionate accept that the investment in the SWP could well be a company maker in it's own right.

Most people would, almost certainly, agree it was better to fund the future development on the back of the pre-drill excitement, which even troll rossannan attempted to exploit!

Glide - surely purchase of CERP was accretive - all those salivating assets, including production, something BPC didn't have - now it's not a shyte or bust share, would they have been able to generate all those extra funds without CERP - even the latest finance deal might not have been considered risk free without CERP assets !

rossannan - I'm no fan of latest funding deal but you're blaming the BOD just because your little trade didn't work out - you sold well before the latest funding deal - pooing your pants about the legal action in Bahamas - subsequently you've tried to troll this by attempting to convince all BPC investors that they should become Post Office Book risk investors and not be happy with the COS for the drill which has been known about for a long long time !
