Druid - I understand why readers are interested in the Saffron development on the SWP but I'm not aware if the full data is available to the market. If you watched Koot's media you'd get a good idea of what occurred and the explanation for completion at the target selected rather than the deeper level which was the prime target.

Looking at the presentation slides from Thursday BPC have factored in a cost to drill Saffron 2 of over $2 million with BPC owning 100% of production . Koot had an offer from the drill company for a free drill subject to a 75/25 % share of production until costs recovered switching to 25/75 % in favour of BPC thereafter. Those figures suggest a great deal of confidence in production from Saffron 2 - probably more meaningful to most than study of the drill cores!

From your previous posts you appear to have a negative view of the potential of the SWP project and that's your prerogative but I doubt many investors are placing much reliance on the production achieved by Saffron 1 as an indicator for Saffron 2 and beyond.

Although there is huge latitude in what can be posted here I would suggest you consider the Important Message from the Financial Conduct Authority when posting - an example of what wouldn't be acceptable is me posting ' I've heard ' a takeover bid is coming for BPC on Monday at 10p per share !

Prospect - re your post of 15:39 I'm not surprised there is confusion about Krapper's position and as an arch troll it's a major failing on Krapper's part that there was any ambiguity over where he stands- the clear message is he's not a shareholder doesn't intend becoming one and is just here for troll type gratification, whatever that is!

BTW having wasted most of this post on an irrelevance I feel obliged to post something positive - don't know if it's already been mentioned but the Trinidad Government MEEI figs have been updated under ' publications ' - figs for HPCL ( IPSC) are relevant for CERP/BPC as most of the production is from our fields - figure up from 525 bopd in October to 581 bopd November so I'm not surprised they managed to meet the 500 bopd target by year end. The TI field featuring Predator CO2 injection looks like it will increasingly influence the figures in the future.

Druid - thanks for your post - most people have already formed a view about Saffron/ SWP development prospects - my post was largely a side swipe at rossannan as sometimes he's rather a naughty boy and I like to remind readers periodically!

Saffron 1 was an exploratory well through 4 target zones and they completed at a level where there was good pressure but circa 95% water content resulting in a disappointing bopd production which probably has substantially tailed off now but the company haven't given actual figures. The facts are, however that they were producing oil and selling it at the outset and in a recent media the company also confirmed it was still producing so to say it's done nothing is quite wrong although I doubt total production is significant when considering the bigger picture.

When you say ' I keep seeing this comment from you about Saffron production ' I'm pleased my posts resonate but I'm pretty confident I have been talking up the POTENTIAL of SWP development. Let's not forget the company drilling Saffron 1 were so impressed by the potential they agreed to drill Saffron 2 free of charge, subject to a very advantageous ( for CERP/BPC ) share of profit 75/25 split until costs recouped then 25/75 % thereafter. So it's not just me that sees potential there!

To answer your question why farm out? CERP were skint at the time and having that offer from the drill company provided much needed confidence at that time - subsequently BPC BOD have decided to drill Saffron 2 without farm out so there's a few more people who see the potential of SWP - presumably that will give you a bit more confidence!

Nice chatting to you - I'm a bit surprised at the stance you've taken as you appear to be more knowledgeable about the area than many - troll Krapper is similarly negative about potential there even though it's quite close to an offshore Soldado field which has produced average 15,000 bopd over 50 years !

I don't claim SWP will replicate Soldado but the BOD claims for potential production at SWP seem relatively modest by comparison and I support the BOD for embracing the project - it's not guaranteed but it's a salivating speculation.

Lastly the BOD have detailed their plans - no one is obliged to invest - if you don't feel comfortable invest elsewhere!

Undermining a troll amuses me and is quite successful - a troll like rossannan can be influential as he is often quite plausible- I like to keep a close watch on him and keep people aware of his MO and history - I don't know anyone else who successfully pulled of that stunt on getting readers to pay cash for him not to post on LSE !

rossannan there's been some good exchanges of opinion here lately, particularly about the latest fund raise and Cars and Share have made excellent mature contributions - it's unusual to see almost universal condemnation of a BOD decision and almost bunker like mentality in their response to shareholders!

Shark - re your post of 10:52 please be aware that most of the BPC projection in respect of 2500 bopd is related to the development of the SWP where CERP negotiated very favourable production licensing arrangements, recently aided by the T&T Government increasing the threshold for SPT to $75 per barrel from April.

The current production from SWP is probably small from Saffron 1 as the completion was in a zone where some wag has suggested Evian were taking an an interest for a new plant in Trinidad LOL! That aside Saffron 1 was exploratory and there is genuine optimism for Saffron 2, so much so CERP were offered free drilling in return for a favourable share of production deal ( now declined in favour of BPC 100% funding and production).

Talk of 500% increase from what amounts to a low base largely comprising Goudron field is not particularly meaningful- SWP is a new field and has been dreamed about from long before BPC actively pursued P1!
