VanVan - I have already thanked you for your efforts in meeting Kerim and I do not blame you for the way he has mugged you off! When Kerim next declares a bonus for the BOD there will be more opprobrium and shareholders will be even more upset - Kerim will point to the February rns and say it is clear that bonus was not included - why all the fuss - shareholders will then say we should have taken note of Arry and got it properly sorted!

VanVan - many thanks for correcting your mistake. The shareholder democracy seemed to work well until it got to Kerim - then he thumbed his nose at your efforts by issuing that combative rns which says, in essence, you shareholders are only the business owners I run the company and I will carry on regardless with bonuses when I want them! You still have not explained to people on here why you do not think it is a good idea that shareholders vote on bonuses in the future - it does not make sense to me you have gone so far to be mugged off by the small print in the cleverly worded rns issued by Kerim!

VanVan - I can't fault your enthusiasm for trying to persuade Kerim to rule out future bonuses but if you read the 01/02 2018 rns it refers to options not future bonuses so you are misleading people on here if you claim that rns means no bonuses for the next 5 years! As you didn't issue the rns you are not responsible for the content - that is down to BOD. I am not even arguing they should not have bonus in future merely that it should be run past a shareholder vote first to avoid another ...... eating before the guests ..... moment . The fact you expended so much time and effort on the issue surely means you were not prepared to allow BOD to mug you off again yet, unfortunately, that' is just what Kerim has done with that wording and that is why I am helping shareholders here to try and ensure that it does not happen again. Perhaps you will tell all our new posters why you are against shareholder democracy on future bonuses as it seems to be a no brainer to me !

Johnpw - the BOD have hiked their salaries hugely in recent years - over 30% last year - who would bet on a freeze this year! I am all for incentivising BOD but believe it should be largely through share options ( which they already have ) - that way no fuss and interests of BOD are aligned with shareholders - instead of Kerim professing bafflement about the SP not being multiples of current level he would then have to address more seriously growing the SP. That means listening to criticism and not just serving up the same old fare in these media performances. Although i am not a great fan of bonuses I am happy for them to be paid if shareholders agree - that way the almost universal opprobrium that greeted the last payment when the SP was languishing would be avoided and new investors would not be deterred by suggestion of non alignment BOD versus shareholders! In terms of success we may have a different definition - I post over on advfn as Arry and have had lengthy discussions with biggles about what constitutes success in investment to justify a bonus - whatever my personal view the shareholders own the business and I will respect the majority view - not just the views of the Peter Postalotts of this world who seem to be keen to sweep this issue under the carpet! Ruben - how are you - please give my suggestion some consideration!

Although technically the bonus and hugely increased salaries are not dividends they still have the same impact down at Tesco’s - or Waitrose for the BOD - it is money being transferred from shareholders funds to the wallets of the BOD!This is the issue which ole Arry has been debating for some while over on advfn - the suggestion is that that shareholders vote against the 2 new share issuance resolutions at the AGM as a shot across the bow for the BOD to encourage them to reconsider their stance of being able to pay themselves bonus when they feel like it ! For some reason VanVan doesn’t seem keen on shareholder democracy - notice I am not against bonus - I just believe that the SP is a relevant factor and shareholders should vote on it in future as the BOD clearly mugged off shareholders with the last bonus and if they did it then there is every chance they will do it again! Shareholders own the business VanVan - surely you trust shareholders to be fair to the BOD! VanVan - you have told us you have 3 different monikers across 3 boards and seem to be incredibly uncritical of pretty much anything Kerim does - can you assure us you are not just a stooge for Kerim?

Ross - how about your ludicrous idea to have a series of mini- Placings ( to benefit shorters) when LGO was in a distressed position. How about you floundering in denial over Spain - now tempered down to it is a sideshow when LK tells us he will be tendering for it later this year. How about you setting your own targets for company performance and then berating company by saturation posting for missing them! VanVan -..........addressed by shareholders ...... - it was a well meaning effort but Plasybryn and his mate Nov31 were mugged off - It is clear for all to see in the rns that followed the directors bonus announcement - a blind man could drive a coach and horses through that rns - gives BOD freedom to vote more bonus when they feel like it ! I want this company to do well - I believe the SP should be much higher - I think controlling future trough snorting will be beneficial for all shareholders - including the Turkeys that would vote for Christmas if given the opportunity!

Seriously Ross I know it must be difficult to get your head round Spain when you are up to your neck floundering in the longest river in Africa but if LK tells me in rns he intends tendering for Spain I expect nothing less and the bid will probably offer commitment of �X millions. As Vmax says and I have mentioned JV is being sought and I expect that will substantially reduce overall cost but no details as yet. I just do not understand why you refer to Spain as a sideshow when it is published part of CERP strategy - this DeNILE business needs to stop Ross!

LGO-fan - do we believe LK who issues rns telling us we intend tendering for Spain or Strictly Come Sideshow Rosie! Re Spain i would need to see the terms of our tender before commenting about how serious it is but my guess it will be substantial and LK will back it with an intention to spend millions to make it successful, probably with JV partner?

honestbob - you are not wrong - MDV & Kerim increased salary by over 30% in 2017 in addition to paying those whacking great bonuses at the end of 2017 - whist the SP was in meltdown. They are also able to repeat the bonus payments without running it past shareholders - actual payments on page 61 of the full report on AAU website - don't want to give you the actual amounts in � in case you are too shocked!

LGO-fan - BTW having a pile of cash will not do us harm regarding the Spain bid - under NR the plea to extend the licence promised to spend millions at a time when it was clear to see LGO had recently been close to bankruptcy!

LGO - fan - whether an issue of new shares is accretive or dilutive should be judged at the time. LK did very well to get Schroders on board but they almost certainly would not have just bought 15% on the open market as the price they would have paid would probably have enabled your early retirement! The deal meant you were broadly neutral in terms of their contribution for their stake but the company had a huge cash buffer so was able to change market perception compared to begging bowl NR and are now taken seriously because they have Institutional Investment.
