Both equations for happiness are correct. It depends on how you interpret the relationship between time, money, and choice and what assumption you make. For Example:-
Happiness = Time/(Money×Choice)
This equation suggests that happiness increases with more time but decreases with more money and choices. This means that having more money and choices reduces happiness. When I wrote this equation, I was thinking about Elon and how stressed out he is.
Happiness = Money×Choice / Time
This equation implies more money and choices leads to greater happiness, but if these take up too much time, the happiness is reduced. This makes more sense in the context that having money and choices is good, but not if it consumes too much of your time.
You are right, the second equation is more intuitive. It aligns with the idea that while money and choices contribute to happiness, they should not consume excessive time.
Stress is what kills us. So rewriting the happiness equation for "Valirx shareholders" :-
Happiness= Money×Choice/ Time×Stress
This equation implies that happiness increases with money and choices but decreases with time and stress. If something takes too long and is stressful, it will create unhappiness, even if it eventually makes a lot of money. A perfect example is Suzy's handling of Val 201. Val 201 has caused a lot of unhappiness.
