I'm seriously considering selling one of my properties and investing all the proceeds into gold and silver through GLD and SLV. I'm talking about several hundred thousand pounds, split evenly between the two.

My thinking is that with US debt approaching $40 trillion and continuing to rise. Central banks continuing to accumulate gold, the long-term outlook for precious metals remains very strong. I believe gold and silver could significantly outperform many other asset classes over the coming years.

We need to see real progress.

We need updates on what is happening with GOPP, where the project currently stands. What milestones have been achieved, and what the next steps are.

I'm still expecting gold to close above $5,000 by the end of this year. The recent pullback in the gold price was due to increased expectations of interest rate hikes, but I don't think we'll see them. Oil has already fallen back to around $70 a barrel, which reduces inflationary pressure and, in my view, lowers the likelihood of further rate hikes.

Downside is limited! Upside is massive! They have the cash now. They just need to make prograss!

I think we will have RNS sometime tomorrow or Monday morning.

Downagain, I spoke to them a few months ago, and they fully understand that GOPP is critical to the success of the project. I'm a little surprised that we haven't received an update on GOPP yet.

I think the next few days and weeks will be important. Personally, I believe in their vision, and I think they will deliver. They stronly believe that there is a big opportunity in Peru and they are determined to position themselves to take full advantage of it.

Golf57, I completely understand. The reality is that the biggest issue for a company like NTVO is access to capital. Without cash reserves, they can't execute their plans as quickly as larger, better-funded companies.

To fund growth and development, they need to raise money through placings, CLNs, warrants, loans, and other financing arrangements. These transactions take time to negotiate and complete, which inevitably slows down the overall process.

I think they are now in a strong position to move forward.

I think it's good to ask questions.

Let's see what the next few weeks bring. I've spoken to the BoD, and they seem very determined to build a proper gold mining company. They also feel strongly that there is a BIG opportunity in Peru.

We really need to get GOPP started ASAP otherwise, this is all just a pipe dream. Without GOPP moving forward, I don't see how this can succeed. I have been saying this for a long time. So we really need a good RNS on GOPP!

It should be an interesting week ahead, as the BOD has been very quiet for quite some time.

The BOD must be working on something, after all, they only really benefit if the SP is above 0.57p.

One thing that is very positive is that the CLN has now been cancelled. That means if the next RNS contains genuinely good news, the share price could move quickly towards 1p. But it would need to be something significant, something completely outside the box and not currently on the market's radar.

I think the silver dumps could be a real game changer. GOPP is critical, but we need something else alongside it to really move the SP.

That could be a major contract to process gold and silver material for a third party, or perhaps the development of our own silver dumps. Either of those would provide a much stronger growth story and could significantly increase market interest in the company.

Let's see how things develop.

When you invest in a mining company you need to give the business little time.

We should have some good news soon. I really want to see some update on GOPP. We really need to push GOPP before year end.

I think this is great price to buy some. Smart money is buying and these guys will make a decent return. We seem to be going from 0.3p to 0.5/0.6p very frequently. When we get a decent update on GOPP i think we will not come back here again. IMHO

Yes, SteveE60, I agree that this is a good buying price. Around 0.3p has proven to be an excellent entry point on several previous occasions.

What we need is a strong progress update from the company. We need a clear commitment from the BOD that they will push to meet the stated deadlines and deliver on their objectives espacially GOPP. Execution is essential to restoring shareholder confidence.

I think you're missing how the market typically prices these developments. Investors don't wait until the GOPP is fully operational before they start positioning. Buying is likely to begin once an RNS confirms construction has started on the GOPP.

From that point, attention will shift to daily ore extraction figures, allowing the market to start pricing in the asset's value and the expected cash flow. By the time the GOPP is commissioned in the coming months, the focus will already have moved to production rates and initial gold pours.

The share price is more likely to build gradually as key milestones are achieved rather than making a sudden move at year end. If the gold price continues to strengthen, that could provide an additional tailwind, as the market will be able to estimate potential gold output based on ore extraction data. By the time the GOPP is ready we could be above 1p or 2p.

As visibility improves and confidence grows with each milestone, investors are likely to position earlier, supporting the share price well before full commercial operations begin.

I agree with some of the points you raised.

We may see this differently, but I believe the BOD needs to prioritise the GOPP as the number one priority. I think moving ore from the mine to a processing plant run by a third party just isn't worth it as there are too many potential issues. We might make some money on high grade ore, but most of it would be eaten up by extra fees. Plus, there's no guarantee that some of the high grade ore wouldn't go missing on the way to the plant.

That's why I think we should focus on extracting as much ore as possible and keeping it on site until the GOPP is built. The processing plant could be ready in less than six months, and by then we'll have plenty of ore ready to go.

This is why I would be buying here rather than selling.

I think gold has the potential to move up to $6,500–$7,000 this year. Gold needed a period of consolidation, and that's exactly what we've been seeing over the past few months.

When you look at real inflation rather than the official figures, it's difficult to see how the Federal Reserve or the Bank of England can justify interest rate cuts. Banks may reduce borrowing costs or adjust margins to stimulate lending, I wouldn't be surprised if underlying interest rates eventually move higher again this year.

So I view consolidation as a healthy pause within a longer-term bullish trend for gold.

As a shareholder, I want to see the company continue making progress and, more importantly, see that progress reflected in the share price. At the same time, I do not want to see unnecessary dilution that could limit shareholder returns.

I don't think this is a major issue right now because the company already has funding in place. Even if shareholders approve these authorities, I doubt management will use them immediately given the existing cash resources available.

For me, the focus remains on the next operational updates, particularly around the GOPP, mine development and progress towards gold sales.

What I really want to see now is a strong GOPP RNS that demonstrates the BOD is fully committed to building the processing plant and provides a clear timeline for construction and commissioning.

Most of the warrants, director remuneration and incentive arrangements have been agreed at prices around 0.48p–0.58p, which suggests confidence in creating value above current share price.

There is no fixed placing price mentioned in the RNS, and may never even be exercised. So for now, I think it's best to focus on the upcoming updates.

Personally, I would like to see what further operational updates we receive, particularly on the GOPP, before deciding how to vote on this resolution.
