RE: Mine in Great Condition + Volume Tells the Story17 Dec 2025 14:53
Proper preparation this time
Last year, “access” existed, but NTVO didn’t fully inspect the underground, assess support requirements, or rehab the auxiliary shaft systematically. This year they are doing step-by-step vertical access rehab, checking stability, water, supports, lighting, and safety. That’s a proper, methodical restart, not just PR.
Contractors are ready
Earlier in 2025, they were still planning and tendering. Now, contractors are being appointed and mobilisation is imminent. This ensures mining can begin immediately once rehab and safety checks are done. Last year, they didn’t have this in place.
Lab results and data-driven focus
Previously, mining was delayed to wait for assays. Now, small-scale mining can start on already developed blocks while lab results come in. They’re using the data smartly to prioritise high-grade areas without wasting time on low-grade material.
Gold price context
Gold was already high last year (~$1,900–$2,000/oz), but now it’s at record levels (~$4,380/oz). That makes mining even more attractive, but also increases the incentive to get it right first — safety and efficiency are critical.
New investors and strong backing
Since last year, NTVO has added major shareholders, including sophisticated funds and insiders who are likely to stay because they believe in the board and strategy. This is a sign of credibility and commitment, unlike before when investor confidence was more uncertain.
Methodical, not rushed
The board is taking a deliberate, cautious approach, balancing speed with safety, rather than rushing to “start mining” without proper preparation. This is exactly how real mines should be restarted.
