the idiots in charge just need to get any deal over the line before its too late. They've lost the opportunity to get the deal they wanted. Any positivity I had is hanging by a frayed thread.
Why would Putin have Navalny killed, (someone that isn't even a minor threat) when he's riding on a wave of positive press he's never had before following the Tucker interview. Strange that 2 weeks later he'd pull a move like that? I'm not convinced.
More favourable outcome for us? Putting aside the waste of life for a moment, Ukraine Nato/ US/ UK etc are not the good guy here. Not saying Russia are either by the way, but they had a genuine reason to follow the actions they took. Diplomacy was always going to fail for them.
They told us certain information would be delivered 'shortly'. Not sure what everybody else's definition of the word is, but I'd hazard a guess that for most people, their use of the word was a lie.
P.S. your little story has a fabricated feel to it, though I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that it genuinely happened. Just out of interest, you solicitor isn't the mad cow that posts here there and everywhere under multiple guises claiming to be in the legal profession. That would be a turn up for the books.
I think its a bit worse than that oldspurs, Madison and Vandevenn out long term, Bissouma and Romero suspended, with another couple of doubts I think.....but we're not great on the road. Both play a very high line, so I think it will be a classic......cue a bore draw.
Old Spurs Fan re. Your post on 22/11 at about 22.45. I also broached the theory it could be 12 months and not by the end of 2023. I contacted the company for clarification and would you believe it received no response.
P.S, hope its 3 losses on the trot for your boys this weekend. Upthevilla.
I wouldn't get too confident Richard. I'm over invested here, would normally have taken my original stake off the table when the share price offered me that option and left myself with a free carry. However I believed the 60((0ck$ from the board and the 'shortly' rhetoric indicated they were wrapping up the loose ends/ close to reaching agreement with interested party/ies.....and then world events came in to play.
I don't think this BoD can be trusted to tell it how it is. Not saying they're lying, but they're being very economical with the truth. My holding is now only worth just over £25k which whilst significant is about 70% down on my purchase price. The assets are there and worth multiples of the current share price. The issue is Ive got so little faith in the BoD, I wouldn't trust them to organise my underwear drawer into boxers one side, briefs the other. I'm in the camp like so many others that selling at this price isn't really an option, but aware the BoD could keep kicking the can down the road until world events, dilution etc see the shareprice continue to drift down and make that investment even less likely to pay off. Is this deramping a share I'm invested in? Maybe, but its not a full deramp. Its an acknowledgement the value is there, but those in a position to manifest this value need to pull their fingers out of their @r$3$ before circumstances significantly change and they left it too late to see us all walk away from this with a decent return.
Saint, I'm still to get confirmation on the 'sale this year' from the company despite numerous attempts to clarify if that meant by 31st Dec 2023, or a year following the meeting.
We will never be told one way or the other, but imho they played this badly. It was pretty obvious during and after covid that events on the worldstage would lead us to uneasier times. They weren't necessarily to know it was going to be on their doorstep, but a deal needed to be concluded quickly to maximise value.
Wouldn't this be a lovely scenario. The court case goes against us. We are instructed to pay compensation at 10/20/30p? a share (the price they claim they would have sold at). We are given time to pay up, the shares return to EUA and the deal goes over the line at a massive premium over the cost of compensation per share.
Bigfatlad, Datta etc, I contacted the company looking for confirmation they meant 2023 and not 'the coming year' following the AGM. I've not received a response as per their poor comms. My personal view is I can't see it being in 2023, if it is I don't think we are looking at the seriously life changing levels we had previously hoped for, and not 'substantially all' of the company as previously indicated. That said, could 10 bag from current levels, but can't shake the feeling that I probably could have exited 2 years ago with more than Im going to end up with if they finally get this over the line, and just a hunch, but I also think they'll have baulked at superior offers to what they finally end up accepting - though its unlikely we will ever be informed of that if its the case.
Thanks for the transcript Mizman. The timescale quoted is 'this year'. Personally I don't think its clear whether he meant calendar or 'financial' year. My gut instinct is not to expect anything in 2023, but that probably only because we have been starved of any progressive updates on the sale process, so subconsciously I'm not expecting us to go from A-Z between now and Christmas, when we may already be at R, S ot T (if that makes any sense).
Agreed. We are well past the point where we have enough information on the assets and that they are up for sale. The BoD aren't divulging anything of relevance and any snippets fellow posters are unearthing are not going to materially change the outcome. This board has become a playground where two opposing forces are trying to make the other think the way that they do.......and for what? Doesnt change a thing. Assets in ground, company trying to sell will update us as and when there's anything they have to disclose.
Agree on that Database, the sooner they get this over the line and put us out of our misery, the better. I wasn't able to listen in to the AGM, but got to see the notes that were made available from posters that did. Theres a suggestion that the BoD are confident that they can get this sorted this year. A lot of posters are suggesting this implies before the start of 2024, but just wondering if anybody else thinks they meant this year as in from the AGM just passed to the next one, (so more like June/ July 2024).
As for not seeing the negheads, I can only see 2 messages on this whole thread, the rest are green boxed :-). Makes it impossible to follow.
