I must be stupid then CJ62, because I was holding to the end game and watched the value of my holding drop significantly. Now I just want to trade myself into a more comfortable position and need news for the share to become a bit more volatile rather than stuck where it is.
Sandy, I have every RNS from the last 2 yrs + with the important sections highlighted, so am aware of the BoD's policy of rushing the deal. I was responding to a post stating the BoD must realise they can no longer take their time or words to effect. However, I'm in full agreement, I think the BoD would be idiots if they didn't think it prudent to try and get this over the line as quickly as possible. Personally think the time has come to be pulling all nighters and issuing some ultimatums to the buyers.
in total agreement with Tigra's post. Im not sure the BoD do realise they cant drag this on however. They've pretty much not clarified a great deal other than sanctions won't affect us and our advisers are still with us. My support for them is waning by the day. They must understand that PI's have supported the company through thick and thin and continue to do so, yet no significant update.
Kammy, I was shown a short clip of a Ukranian train station yesterday. The person recording it did it very discreetly, but what the press did was close of a large part of the platform meaning that all the people wating for the train were all squashed together indicating masses of peole looking to escape. The person recording then filmed a largely empty platform behind that had been cordoned off by the press cameras at the front of the cordon.
I was also lucky enough to see a short video on twitter that was taken down before I had the chance to record/share/find the link. It showed a tourist being filmed 'holding' the Eiffel Tower in her hand. Suddenly there was bombing all around and fighter pilots flying around her looking like a full on war scenario. Obviously there's no war in modern day France, but it looked as realistic as what we are being shown play out in the Ukraine. this was put on to highlight just how easy it is to dupe us all. Hence why I'm totally sceptical that Putin is bombing hospitals and children. I'm not denying fighting, bombing etc, but dont believe everything I'm being told by a long shot.
Someone also posted about Yemen where there's a massive humanitarian crisis going on that's far worse than the Ukraine, where its also suggested multiple hospitals have been hit (and this is by USA supplied weapons). Surely this should have just as much reaction as the war in Ukraine?
1) Putins trying to protect his borders, reacting in the same way the USA did over the Bay Of Pigs, how they'd react today if Mexico/Canada allowed Russian forces/weapons to be placed on their borders, or how we'd react if an independant Scotland/Wales allowed Russian forces/weapons on our borders. Difference being that we/the US have the might of Nato to support us/them, whereas Russia only have themselves to protect their safety.
2)Does Putin want full scale war? Not sure, but I do think NATO, or rather Biden/Johnson want anything to distract us further, and once this distraction is over I've no doubt that there'll suddenly be an escalation of climate change issues reported requiring more freedom reducing measues. I do not see any side in this war being the good guy and that includes Zelensky, though obviously the Ukranian people are sadly involved in power games that they dont deserve to be in the middle of.
3)
4) If Putin gets his 2 disputed areas and Ukraine dont pursue Nato/EU, then Putin has no reason to continue.
5). what is the true message? what OUR media are portraying? that's a very biased question
6). not sure they want to take him out. My understanding is his support levels highly exceed both Biden and Johnson. Shouldn't you therefore be advocating whether the people of the UK and US should take out their respective leader?
7). why should NATO go into a war between 2 non Nato countries? that would make it more likely Russia go nuclear.
8). No, but I'd accept that if you take out Zelensky, Biden and Johnson too. Might as well put Macron and Trudeau on that list to make the world an even better place.
9). Fc uk climate change.
10) rules dictate they cant withhold info thats RNS'able.
11) multiple buyers, (too big for one company) from the list of probables. Different countries.
12) don't see why not, neither the company or us as shareholders are currently sanctioned.
13) to make the gains from resources more accesible to Russian nationals
14) probably BAU, but not tradeable. If they haven't got the finance already lined up, then I think they'll struggle to get it now.
15) Don't know
16) No, BAU. Not sure how an administrative dept dealing with mining licences would be involved in war effort.
17) Who knows. BoD owes us a decent update seeing as our investment has become so much more risky.
18) See 17. With BoD keeping their cards so close to their chests, I'm looking to reduce my own risk by selling/trading a proportion of my holding to make this a more comfortable hold.
Tigra, you are 100% nailing it again as far as I'm concerned.
Horrible though the circumstances are, feel compassion for those involved, send donations, clothing, aid however and whatever you can but ultimately from this side of the conflicts life goes on as it did when Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc etc was happening.
I can't remember where I heard it, but it was stated that there hasn't been a war thats been more televised than this one. Its blanket coverage like Covid. As you say, they're shining a light and the sheep are transfixed on it.
CJ62, not sure who you were referring to 8n regards to binning everyone who wants the war to end. I think everybody on both sides of the argument want it to end - those that follow the main stream media AND those that have done research away from the MSM and recognise Russia was backed into a corner following years of broken promises. Not sure anyone wanted Russia to invade and for this to play out the way it is, just a few on my side of the fence can see how it has without putting all the blame on Putin.
Personally I've green binned like mad ( and know I'm in others green bin too), but have kept a few like yourself, Gaza etc who's views don't match mine because you provide value that I appreciate.
What I will say though, but green binning so many trolls and verbatim spewers of MSM propaganda, I'm heartened by how many awake people there are out there and this gives me hope that the agendas the elite are planning will have a sizeable body pushing back against them.
Just need EUA to conclude the sale so that I can position myself and family for what's to come.
onthebwagon, i almost agree with you 100%. The only issue I have is if, and I stress IF the pictures our media show us are to be believed, then Putin is bang out of order even if he had a genuine reason to protect his country.
