The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Thebold - the easiest thing to do when investing is to buy high then sell low. So next time you feel like buying, sell half your holding and if the sp goes up you are happy for the other half. If it goes down, buy the half back!
A bit like backing horses. If someone gives you a tip... lay it - you'll probably do better!
GP you continue to be up and down with this Char and no doubt will APs best pal when ( I won't dare say "IF" ! ) it comes good.
Whimax you make some interesting posts which are appreciated. But, if the "worst case scenario will see a significant rerate" then surely that rerate should already have happened? .... If every investor expected the worst and the worst happened , and you say that will give a rerate , well I can't see a better way to describe that apart from it being illogical. But I think I know what you mean - the sp is rather cheap whatever happens !
GP & All I have always maintained that the sp is a false figure until we smell some real gas and have deals to sell it for real dosh. When that happens there is more chance of the sp beginning to reflect the value of the Company. Although I would rather the starting point is more like 20p than 10p, the way these O & G shares yoyo up and down we could see huge increases when we see results ........
More buying than selling again today - at my last count about £40,000 more so far. It is happening a lot recently as sp drifts. Is a stake being built up with the few sells and keeping the sp down to encourage the impatient to dispose?
Maybe older but less wise. After reading your personal view in your first sentence I cannot take a lot of notice of the rest.
Just 2 things to note. Recehorses undoubtedly enjoy racing although a very few sometimes are moody or nervous and reluctant. Secondly, Racehorses would find it difficult to survive without doing what they love, as apart from becoming lovely animals to have around a large estate, there would not be much demand to find the resources to look after them otherwise.
The 6th word in your post is quite inappropriate.
Good for you GP. Obviously younger than I. I'm semi-retired and now only acting for about 5 clients and enjoying that, working when I want and taking a few days off to Bowness tomorrow. We have a house there but not on the lake shore with a boat house - always need something to aim for. GSM wouldn't do it even if 10-bagged, but Char would! .... or something else. fairhavenbowness.co.uk
Over ONE MILLION shares landed, AGAIN, after hours. Value £118,000. "Unknown buy/sell" mainly 9.9p to 10p Trade price. They have to be buys at those prices. Who's kidding Who? If this carries on into next week at these volumes my money is on a buy-out, but we don't want that until the sp is more respectable so a bid is 30p+.
Have a great week-end all!
I have raised this question for Monday:-
You have lost your biggest U.S. customer due to being unable to agree on a price increase. I would like to know how close you were and whether it would actually have been a good commercial decision to have retained the customer at current prices - even at a lower margin? or was there more to it than you are saying; ie they do not want your product any more and this pricing issue is actually an excuse?
I doubt these shares appeared all of a sudden conveniently so a big buyer could take the lot.
My take is they have been bought over the last few months and not recorded so the sp would not jump up. They are now recorded while the sp is low (thanks to the selling, without the buying being shown) in order to enable them to be picked up cheap. Average price paid over few months being 8.25p.
Now the huge buying can be seen, the sp should jump tomorrow.... maybe by 50% even .....
That sounds illegal I know but we shall see.
I think A.A. sold out a while ago. Covalis was still holding some early this year. My money is on the 2 of them being connected somehow and they've been planning this for a while. The 72million apparently bought today for less than market value so some dodgy stuff going on.
