Also we'd like to hear something positive about the cowboy claims outfit that have been gaming the system and making hay at VANQ shareholder's expense.

In recent years at VANQ there have been so many 'exceptional charges' that they should be renamed 'expected random charges'.

I'd expect that tomorrow will mark the official end of the new teams honeymoon period so I'd not be surprised if they retch out a few more charges. Though I do hope that at this point they are dry heaving.

A very interesting book (and essential reading for any enterprise that might potentially have dealings with Amazon).

Allegedly some of Amazon's pernicious and exploitative business practices include

- with high visibility of what is selling they have engaged in predatory pricing on product lines they'd like to dominate.

- demanding technical specs on devices that that would like to be badged as 'Alexa' compatible and then producing knock off's.

- pretending to be operate a venture capital/angel investor arm for new and innovative products and again simply producing knock offs if the product has potential.

- manipulating and filtering keyword searches to report favoured products ( I remember in the past looking for a ChromeCast and was only offered Amazon fire sticks though today I'm seeing more choice including my preferred casting device - Roku )

- forbidding sellers to offer their products any cheaper anywhere else ( forcing Amazon to be as good as the cheapest option )

- meanwhile seller fees have escalated to 45% of costs by the time they have paid for sellers fee's, Prime inclusion, shipping fees, warehouse storage costs, keyword advertising etc.

- where Amazon have formed relationships with companies they have demanded warrants in the partner companies stock.

Generally if Amazon can abuse their market dominance they will, to the MAX. I can't understand why if Standard Oil and Bell Telephone were broken up because they had an unhealthy market dominance that the same doesn't apply to Amazon.

I hope Tony P. has read the book or will.

ARM's collaboration in developing a High-Performance Compute Chiplet with AWE is certainly a major endorsement of their sector leadership.

ARM does seem to be growing all over AI/data centre infra structure like an out of control rash eg Nvida - Grace, AWS - Graviton, Microsoft - Cobalt 100, Oracle - Ampere Altra Max, etc

Without doubt they are going to be a big winner in the space. If AWE can coat tail on their success to any extent it could be very lucrative.

Interesting that Phoevos highlights the resilience of the 'co-product' model.

If and when Karo comes to fruition that will be the end of the 'co-product' model. Chrome might carry Tharisa at present but it is not going to carry Karo as well.

At that point it will be boom or bust.

Slide 65 of the presentation was a clue that today's announcement was coming.

From an engineering perspective yesterdays CMD was an excellent presentation on the addressable market and Alphawave's capacity to address it.

It is evident that on the silicon IP front AWE are working on very sophisticated products for very sophisticated customers. Meanwhile in the connectivity products section headed by Babek things are even further along (with one major customer at least).

The frustration is coming from the lack of commercial disclosure. This was evident in the Q&A session. AWE declare that they are 'engaged' here there and everywhere with hyperscalers. However when pressed which "which hyperscalers are you dealing with?" they say they are gagged by NDA's. When this is followed up by "okay don't tell us who they are just how many they number?" AWE reply "we typically don't disclose this information".

I do think the new CFO and CRO are strong additions. The CFO in particular is very aware that timescales can be subject to considerable variability. A speculative guess is that he is muzzling the team from blurting out too much too soon. AWE have been guilty of this in the past. Certainly there were occasions yesterday when I felt Mohit wanted to say more but bit his tongue.

With my investors hat on I'd like to see both Mohit and Babak address their weight issues. Mohit in particular is genetically not designed to be carrying the weight that he is. If health issues have not already presented they are looming over the horizon.

AWE are definitely in the right place at the right time with the right people, toolbox and focus.

Only time will reveal whether it all pays off.

What effect would it have on AWE ? It seems to be a broadside aimed at NVIDIA's stranglehold on the space ?

The last Capital Markets Day on Jan 13th 2023 was extremely informative. On the assumption that the format of the forthcoming event was similar, I'd highly recommend taking advantage of the briefing to anyone interested in getting a handle on AWE.
