If the folks on here focussed on facts and numbers rather than emotions and nationality they may stand a chance of actually getting people to listen to their concerns - but it seems hyperbole is more important to some people than results.

If you were buying services how could you possibly justify buying them from Wood with all its issues and uncertainty? Wood should be selling highly skilled and long term contracts. People buying those services need certainty. Their business depends on it.

The only viable justification would be if Wood were under materially cutting its competitors to a degree that customers were prepared to take a punt - which seems highly unlikely and would likely be further commercial suicide for Wood.

Surely this is just a bag full of spares now ready to be picked up on the cheap from the lenders?

Yep, I agree Gate. All the current Israeli government is doing is further radicalising Muslims worldwide. If anyone thinks what is happening at the moment is helping our country in any way they are deluded beyond belief.

Getting a bit boring reading the constant support for Israel on here. I used to back the Israeli government and understood, and in fact supported, the initial response to the horrendous October 2023 attack but I have now completely flipped. The actions of the Israeli government are now clearly despicable. There was a British doctor working in a Gazan hospital on Newsnight a few nights ago explaining that gunshot wounds arriving in hospitals now are consistent with the IDF seeking to target different parts of the human body each day; one day headshots, the next the torso, and the next testicles. That, and now the starvation of innocent children, is abhorrent beyond belief. Certain folks in the Israeli government clearly think of the Gazans as vermin, plain and simple. Personally, I’m not sure you can classify innocent children who were born in a ghetto not of their choosing as vermin. It’s clear from the language used by certain posters on here that you agree with that label. The lack of humanity in some of the posts here is beyond depressing.

I cried last night. Went to visit a friend who is dying. Who knows what she has got going on. If she’s crying over her job she needs to go. If she’s going through something else and thought she had to be a PMQs nonetheless, then I have some sympathy for her as a human being. She does need to go though.
