This has declined for years until very recently, and you short it now? I’ll never understand some people.

This is one of the two biggest dogs in my basket. The other being another booze related share - Diageo. I have some confidence Diageo will come back as they have some exceptionally strong brands. So far as I can see, CCR has let their brands rot and have not invested enough. I've been holding these for a few years now, and quite frankly wish I wasn't. I misjudged the general drawback on alcohol consumption when I bought these, and unlike Diageo, this is very UK focussed and has less scope to diversify. I'm not selling, but will definitely not be looking to "average down" on these. I don't see anything on the horizon to see a lift off here.

Every time it launches it falls back to Earth! One day, one day, this will reach Orbit again.

If you want a quick buck, Garydav, best off selling up here and moving it somewhere else. I’ve lost money on these, but don’t see much downside from here, so will hold on. I accept it’s going to take a long time for it to come back, and am ok with that. The new CEO hasn’t even arrived yet!

I’m normally pretty patient but not particularly enjoying this continuing to drop. Was hoping for a little Santa rally to take me into Christmas with appropriate cheer. Still a couple of days to go I suppose, but doesn’t look to cheery here at the moment. Let’s hope everyone decides to get properly ratted this Xmas.

I use Barclays too. Are you saying you want to buy shares? That may be the problem - it’s an investment trust. I have just bought some using Barclays and had no issue.

Yeah, great news. He wouldn't have taken the job unless he was confident this could be turned around - so an extra cherry on the cake as far as I'm concerned.

No problem Futurehire. I was hesitant to ask questions seeing all the history and heat here but was genuinely interested! I do have a small holding here, but will just about break even at 30p and I’d be quite happy with that on this one.

I was having a cull on some of my holdings today but couldn’t bring myself to sell any of these. It’s had a good run since “independence day” - but, as you say, still looks cheap against its peers.

I’m sure I’m going over old ground anyway, so I’ll leave it there. Good luck to all holders.

Just not sure why they’d pay anything for it, when they could pick up the bits they want later without any of the uncertainties and unknown liabilities they would also be buying.
