God, I hope you’re joking SUFCESSEX. If you’d put that money into almost anything else, you would actually be sat on a lot of money and with many, many shares would have enjoyed a really good divi along the way. I hope you are loaded and this is just a small part of your portfolio, but I suspect from your posting history that is not the case. If not, please god diversify. My father in law did almost exactly the same thing you seem to be doing with RBS and blew all his family’s money. The number of peeps on this board who seem infatuated with this share is alarming,
All good points Jacob - and my account was inactive for over 2 years - but for me and others I suspect it means I just won’t use them at all. As you say, they probably don’t care about that as that’s not where the money is - but by doing so they are effectively refusing to serve customers who bet very moderately - that’s not a good look when they say they encourage their customers to bet responsibly. A guess just a question as to where the line is.
Minor point but I went on the William Hill website this weekend and tried to access my account that I opened during lockdown to put a bet on the grand national. It turned out they had closed my account due to inactivity - no issues with that - but they refused to reopen it and said the only way I could open a new account was to give them a different email address. I told them I only use 1 email address and wasn’t going to open another for the sole purpose of opening a gambling account. They weren’t interested - so no account for me. Just an observation really, that surely only degenerate gambler types are going to go through the bother of having multiple email addresses for the purposes of a bet. Seems a bit rubbish, and something not quite right about it. Effectively if you only gamble very occasionally they are not interested. I get that from a business perspective, but that is not at all in line with their overall message of responsible gambling. I think they could come a cropper on this sought of behaviour. Still holding as I still think this is a worth a punt - and no the irony is not lost on me - but this business model remains super high risk in my opinion.
I have never filtered anyone on any platform ever before, but I have just filtered Carltt. Life is just too short. If by any miracle he has a wife or partner I pity them. Run away!
To be fear to Carltt, Lloyds is a s*it share. We could all have put our money into countless other shares where we would have earned really great returns whilst this has sat here declining with a few trading opportunities here and there. I just feel sorry for the saddo that he feels he has to keep banging on about landlord this and landlord that. Jeez, get a f**king life! Move on! Surely you have something better to do with your time than keep on banging on about the same thing! Have a w*nk and relax.
And the Johnson rod is perpendicular to the walax angle.
Well, it's doing the right thing for the share price at the mo, so all's good as far as I'm concerned.
He is indeed a deeply sad little man.
I disagree with that. There are plenty of companies with really good ratings who have clearly got their customer service s**t together and in my view the quality of doc boots is meant to be part of their appeal - they get comfier the long you wear them and arguably look better - but I’m no expert and may well be wrong! If the fashionistas like them and that is what is driving sales so be it, just so long as they sell!
Hmmm, see what you mean re quality on those Trust Pilot reviews. From a very quick look, it seems most complaints about their sandals, so hopefully fairly isolated and can be fixed - but I did assume their quality would have remained rock solid, so is a concern that quality control is clearly not good enough, particularly at this price point. Having said that, both my daughters wear Doc boots and never had any issues and this looks cheap. I doubled up this morning, so put your tin hats on.
Yes, down!
I’m keeping everything crossed on this one. It’s a great brand and pretty timeless. Hoping for a strong recovery play here.
Old news. This is more than baked in to the price.
Happy with this today. I'm out. Hopefully will get the chance to buy back in again. Good luck all.
I'm out this morning. Slightly reluctantly, but think I may have pushed my luck far enough. Will look to get back in.
Frankie and Bennies and Chiquitos are utter garbage. Getting rid of those and the lease and other liabilities just leaving us with Waga would be amazing. I believe in, and regularly eat at, Wagas and have done for years. Everything else in the stable, as I’ve said before, needs to be shot.
Sold yesterday and bought back today kewjosh?
And don’t forget to measure the Johnson rod against the boswolox trajectory.
Fair enough kewjosh, and I don’t doubt I could potentially do better timing my trades - but the short game never worked for me. Good luck to you.
Can’t argue it has always retraced for a fair few years, but I think it’s time may finally have come and there are strong tail winds. Agreed this will dip but I don’t day trade so I’ll stay in and play the long game on this.
