No way I'm topping up here. This tops the charts of my worst shares by a mile. It's terrible, and definitely wouldn't rule out worse to come.

I agree with you on the debt Terry but, quite frankly, who gives a toss about that at the mo. If you’re in, you’ve just made a ton of money on paper with very real prospects for lots more. Continuing to bang the drum today on debt just looks like sour grapes.

Refreshing to see someone on these boards being able to take a step back and reevaluate openly where they’re at. Hope this works out for you Dartron. For what it’s worth DWF do have some very good clients and a decent reputation, but I do fear they are going the same way as the other listed Legals who thought they alone saw a way to leverage their legal services into something greater - and paid a very high price for trying.

Yes it would, wouldn’t it. Perhaps that’s the reason the price is dropping?!

Crappy little buys though Mary. If I had the inside track on a company and the opportunity to load up at a bargain price I would fill my boots, not fill my thimble.

I think the problem is people are fed up with problems being identified after they have happened Mary. Good management identifies the risks and deals with them in advance.

I agree with that in principle Mary - but not with this share. Look at the charts. It’s crap, and it’s been crap for years, and it just seems to get worse with little investment in the brands - at least not in England. If I’d put this money in my other investments over that time, I would not only not have lost money but I would also of course actually made a profit, and be confident that my money was placed with a competent outfit. That’s the major issue here. This lot have screwed up, continue to screw up and are losing me money. There are clearly better places to park my money, but having said all that, I can’t bring myself to crystallise this loss, so I’ll leave what’s here here and see what happens. They don’t deserve my money though!

Constant omnishambles with this lot. Massively regret going against my gut instinct on this one. Once again it's demonstrated it literally can't organise a p*ss up in a brewery.

Just tried to buy some of these. The spread is ridiculous. So ridiculous I didn't go ahead. Any intel on why that is? Is it just not traded sufficiently?

Ince going pop will have zero impact on Knights. I only mentioned it as CaneToad had previously taken an interest in it; and to highlight that law firms can, and do, go bust. For some reason folks don't seem to realise that. It happens rather too often.

I've been watching this for some time and have finally taken the plunge this morning. If I'm honest, I'm uncomfortable with it ethically and regulation is clearly an ever present major risk here, and the debt is awful, but this does look like a decent punt with some great upside if it comes off.

I’ve been watching this one for ages, and have been tempted to get in many times - but I think today has been the nail in the coffin for me. Debt level is too big and growing. After everything this sector has been through why have they chosen to load themselves up with debt for the sake of 6 new cinemas? one in the cultural dead end that is Plymouth.

Not sure if you've seen yet CaneToad - Ince is finally going into administration after its drawn up death spiral.

Good to hear this is only a small part of your portfolio Dartron. Hope all works out for you. A bit of positive momentum may help. I know my continued view on this, but I won’t repeat it again for the fear of upsetting Pompal!

Dartron - I suspect you’re a decent bloke, and from your posts I think you have a decent head on you shoulders. If I were you, I’d leave the legals to the lawyers. The only ones who earn serious money are the partners in unlisted firms or Mr Beech and co who have already taken their profit. I’m not sure what other interests you have, but maybe have a look at another sector too. It would be a shame to have all your eggs in one basket. All the best.

Not exactly debt free Karl - but certainly a lot of debt paid down; and as you say you did call it right re potential divided reinstatement. Better than I expected.

What about Didsbury gin though Karl! Budget is sh*te for that.
