Well, not the best of days but in the grand scheme of things still ok. those of us who got in here some time ago are still sat on a massive profit and there isn’t any pharma company out their selling product who isn’t at the risk of litigation. It’s the nature of the business. Suspect this may keep falling today though.

If anything Canetoad is overly optimistic about the listed legal sector. Look at his posts on Ince. He liked it, but got burnt. Fair enough for him to share his views here with that history. Branding him a deramper simply identifies you as the polar opposite.

Yeah, but second gear in an old banger is nothing to write home about! Honestly, this is rubbish, and so far as I can see they are putting nothing into their brands. Nothing here to light the touchpaper that I can see.

Seems like you've done your research Dartron and you believe there are some differentiators here. I don't share that view personally, and from the reports on RollonFriday etc they seem to have a pretty rotten culture generally which won't help, but if we all thought the same the world would be a dull place! Hope this works out for you.

Hi CaneToad - it’s an amalgamator like Ince was, but Ince could try and shine their t*rd by constantly harking back to their glory days as a big international shipping practice - which at one point had some real, top end pedigree. Knights has none on that. So far as I can see, its just bought up a load of practices with retiring partners who clearly could see no other way out, and either hadn’t structured a succession plan or shafted those who thought they were going to step in. I don’t see the business case for an amalgam of these practices succeeding in an unbelievably competitive market. We’ll see.

I have to agree with Cassandra that the response from DT to QCM is embarrassingly bad so far. If you’re going to credit it with a response, which they have, then for crying out loud answer the questions. They had all weekend to put together with reasoned reply and rebuttal. That is plenty of time. They haven’t done it. Sorry, but not good enough with the background of the individuals involved with this company. Even if they’ve done nothing wrong, they are handling this really badly.

Plutus - I really hope you properly researched the history of this outfit before you invested. Most of it is on this board. If the fact the CEO bought back in for a paltry £1m gives you comfort, you may want to do a bit more reading - and have a Google generally about what people think about this firm.

CaneToad, what are you thinking?! From memory, you got out of Ince around 20p and didn’t completely lose your investment. Why are you considering this? Ince was/is a real basket case, but they did at least have a little bit of quality/heritage on the international shipping side at one point. This has none of that. They’re in horrendously competitive, cost sensitive markets with massive and growing debt. What’s the attraction?

Yes - it’s reported each day that a buyback takes place including the price paid etc.

Not sure why everyone is bashing Cassandra. Provided you’re not a day trader, who cares if a short seller is spouting cr*p and it has a short term negative effect. If they’re talking rubbish they’ll get burned and the company will be stronger. Why does everyone feel they have to be on attack. As for GT, or indeed any big auditor, that gives me little comfort. If there’s truth, it’ll come out in short order. If there’s not, likewise. I’m a holder here, but I’m not going to cut someone off at the knees because they suspect there may be truth in something I don’t like.

Maybe one day Mary, but I’m pretty sure I will get better returns elsewhere. I’m not topping this one up. It may come back, but others will do better quicker.

Hi Tony - interesting point, but to say people would rather starve themselves that skimp on their pets is a bit extreme. Yes, we’re a nation of animal lovers, and I am a pet owner - the reason I bought these shares is my own experience of watching other people spaf, and my own kids encourage me to spaf, a fortune at this place - but make no mistake if things got tight I would not visit this place again. I would buy online and avoid the pester power. I’m lucky, I’m comfortable and have locked in my mortgage at a ridiculously low rate, but if my mortgage had just lept and I was struggling with the bills, I’d be cutting down on cr*p for the dogs before I starved my children! Appreciate there is a big fat middle ground, and agree peeps will continue to spoil their pets if they can.

Yes - looks good. No sign of folks skimping on their pets yet. No doubt the market will find something to dislike in it though! I really don’t think this business, or indeed the market it is in, is given enough credit.

Sorry - nothing useful from me to contribute on that front. I bought into this long ago to capitalise on the rather unfortunate circumstances that makes Indivior its money - but without any worthwhile assessment of their accounts (I'm no accountant) and only a cursory look at potential competitors/threats. It was a bit of a punt for me but the trend looked clear and it's proved to be one of my best investments. I'm still holding here as the opiate crisis in the US shows no sign of abating unfortunately.

Frankly and Bennys is just an embarrassment. It’s like something out of the 1990s and the quality of the food is terrible. I’d turn every one of those into a Waga - save for those already next to a Waga. I’d burn those (making sure no staff, customers or others are inside of course).

RNS is the Regulatory News Service - which is used by companies listed on the London Stock Exchange to make regulatory announcements/issue news in respect of listed companies. Good to see a US investor getting on board. Invite your friends!
