Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a climate and technology fund founded by Bill Gates in 2015 backed by Gates, Jack Ma and Jeff Bezos, led a $200 million funding round for KoBold Metals on finding a massive copper deposit in Zambia. It uses artificial intelligence to discover critical minerals needed for the energy transition. Trump is not interested in greenlands mineral reserves, more its strategic stronghold but he could give his mate Elon a nudge to set up his own venture to look at greenlands reserves to compete with the likes of Bezos et al. Why wouldn’t he be up for the challenge?

Just to get elon to mention Greenland will be dynamite for the share price let alone mentioning Amoroq. There’s a thought, or dream.

Another point I was considering is that eventually with the backfill of stopes at Hav, any losses left behind in tailings will not be available for further extraction by scavenger tech much later as tailings paste will be used for backfill.

So economic extraction of ‘all’ target minerals will become more important.

Thoughts on that?

Think there could well be a general misunderstanding that additional ore is required just to keep the mills running toward capacity alongside Hav when the time comes. In reality lower grade additional ore is also required for blending with Hav higher grade to produce a lower average head grade that will respond better metallurgicaly at final separation. The higher the head grade the higher the percentage of target minerals that are lost in the tailings.

Hey Bamps would you kindly elaborate more on this if there will actually be an economic advantage to blending the Hav high grade ore beyond just keeping the head grade consistent? Bearing in mind that revenue from copper is expected to contribute 20% of Hav overall, I think that’s right without checking, where Copper recovery losses are reduced with better control of head grades.

That is just the beginning, success of the hub and spoke model is ultimately going to be dictated by the geology but you hit on a really important factor in that one short sentence.

The team! Its crucial for the company to be absolutely certain any mine that is to be developed to generate cashflow can be kept low cost and be self sustainable on top of just understanding the ore body through geological modelling.

Exactly what a good team will do.

GGP strategy is to develop a sustainable multi mine mining complex and not to just generate cashflow quickly. Imagine if they had to give up the mining rights on a satellite mine they fast tracked if costs escalated higher than forecasted along with a few technical challenges thrown in to a point where they then didn't think the mine could consistently produce the gold needed per year to generate the necessary revenue to sustain mining.

Capital management is the key to their strategy being successful.

If CPF can be included into the flowsheet design particularly, which it looks really promising now, the ongoing more cost intense final processing will be reduced with lower plant costs and lower ongoing operating costs.

The mine design is toward the capital payback phase, a starter mine. All later ore outside of this initial phase will then only have to carry its own minimal CapEx and ongoing OpEx going forward.

But for now they just need to produce numbers that work and show geological justification to take BR forward to the next phase. It’s all about the payback phase.

There are still options available to increase the economic performance of the model regardless.

There are so many factors that favour BR to go on to be a mine.

We really do not know how much extra is in the resource model that did not make it into the JORC. This is material that does not have enough geological confidence through drilling to be legally be able to report against it. XTR have litterally only scratched the surface of what is the ground of what they know is there. They are not necessarily false statements. He also said we have 2mt. What he didn’t say was that we will be able to update the JORC with 2mt resource. Go to the GM with that they will wipe the floor with you.

i would like to add to archers good appraisal my own further thoughts that i responded to him with directly on his own tg group

there is huge potential now with co**** particle flotation using the novacelltm process that responds really well as a pre concentration step. this will have significantly positive effects on the ongoing more cost intensive processing steps. now into further detailed testing has the potential to bring break even costs to sub $10k and see economic viability at ‘current’ copper price. would certainly fast track a decision to go onto pre feasibility to attract further equity funding or other.

This comment from James Gilberston below taken from latest eagles Nest RNS is really intriguing, we know both the main and 75 viens at Nalunaq will see nameplate throughput capacity reached within a year and now with the latest drill intercepts at Eagle Nest it brings those modular plant upgrades of additional mill and flotation a step closer. When you consider the rhetoric of previous comments after recent positive Nanoq intercepts that will,

"position us to enhance production and cash flow by leveraging and potentially expanding the processing capacity of our existing infrastructure."

Compare with latest comment after Eagles Nest drilling,

"The discovery of high-grade gold veins, combined with the geological similarities to the Nalunaq mine, positions Eagle’s Nest as a strategically significant target in our portfolio. We are now leveraging these insights to refine our resource development strategy to support the growth of our operations in Southern Greenland.”

It appears far more concise now with a clearer route for preliminary mine expansion plans to increase plant capacity.

It’s not difficult to understand why the PR drive had to be so heavily saturated to fund the huge scale exploration by ‘this’ minnow and try to sustain a heady market cap until Moz mine finally started up Now the company don’t need cash from the market everyone is happy for a witch hunt. Ultimately it was the pre BR investors that benefitted from the reduced dilution from those actions the most. Oh my aching ribs.
