Another Long on Gold @ 1203 has put me in profit over the 2 posns. so decided to close one out for now @ 1208.7 ---s/l on the other @ 1202.3 now will see me b/e overall !!--- I don't like the drop back on Gold ---rather a big one ??--may go below 1200 so airing on the side of caution atm. GL sir ---- families , eh , always problems !!!

Optimus, your Gold short benefiting from the rises in Global markets this morning very nicely !!! I've got a small Long running now from 1208 ( triggered my order ) --- so it's a " fight " between me & thee (lol). Bought a few VEC as well ( just to test the waters ) --- And just a very tiny amount of BP. ---we'll see with that one --- Looking at the others on the list from Shares mag. still atm --- GLA ------

Gold markets absolutely exploded during the course of the week, slicing through the $1200 level like it wasn’t even there. Because of this, we are now very bullish of the gold markets as it should continue to go higher going forward with this type of break out. Pullbacks at this point in time should be thought of as value, and we believe that it’s only a matter of time before this market not only goes higher than the range for the week, but goes higher for the longer term. This is a market that has broken out. FX-Empire for week ahead ----- nighty, night ---- cat screaming its head off now in the kitchen (lol) .

The Dow Jones 30 fell initially during the course of the week, testing the 15,500 level but bouncing enough to form a hammer. That of course is a very bullish sign, but at this point in time there’s far too much in the way of resistance above to consider buying this market. Ultimately, we are waiting to see a resistive candle that we can start selling at this point in time. Given enough time, we could change the momentum, but at this point in time it’s difficult to be comfortable holding.

The DAX fell during the course of the week, testing the €8800 level. We found a little bit of support below there, but having said that it looks as if the market bouncing is only going to offer a selling opportunity at higher levels. A resistive candle should offer an opportunity to start shorting this market, and we have no interest whatsoever in buying at this point but we do recognize that a retest of the €9200 level might be needed in order to confirm the next leg lower as it was once support.

The FTSE fell during the course of the week, breaking below the 5600 level, and even tested the 5500 level. That’s an area that of course should offer support based upon the fact that it is a large, round, psychologically significant number. Ultimately, this market will continue to fall though in our opinion, so with that we are sellers of resistive candles above. If we can break down below the 5500 level, this market could really pick up steam to the downside. Ultimately, this is a market that continues to show weakness.

Lol --- yes , i think i understand !!!---- I do wish you luck on the Gold short but i would urge caution , if i may. --- i caught a couple of good longs off 1200 last week and altho' it's down about 40 points atm from last weeks highs it is still in a Bullish up-cycle now according to all the " pundits" every where !!--- Looks like we may get a couple more days on this US & general relief bounce which will help your short but if it holds above that crucial 1200 marker then another leg up to new higher levels will be on the cards --- Keep an eye on what FX-Empire and Ig-Index are saying about it in the coming days -- GL -----

But has to get past Greece defaulting again now it's in recession , China's growth and appetite for everything slowing down, the US going for negative interest rates, Great Britain voting to come out of the European Union , the price of Oil continuing to drop , the Dollar weakening even more quickly than it has already etc,etc, etc, ad infinitum ( i'm sure there are many more negatives i could come up with if i tried harder (lol) ) ---- But what the hell ,let's look on the bright side ----- you may just be right in your assumption !!!!--- GL ---- just something to think about over the weekend (lol) ---

Afternoon All ---- well markets getting a relief bounce from Oversold atm. Will it hold and continue is the question ??--- Not much movement really in the price of stocks --- but any upward movement is nice to see atm. I caught a good Dax long from yesterdays oversold levels , so happy enough with that. Everyone awaiting Janet's speech at 3pm ---- JDF ---- i can't see Goldman's sell note on RIO anywhere on my lists i look at every morning ??? ---- Got a very slow internet atm --- going to reset everything now as it's a pain in the backside atm !!--- GLA -----

That's only six not ten !! --- give us the other 4 please ----- No body that 's worth his/her salt in the Analyst/ Guru /Broker etc world is seeing the current levels on the major Indicies as the bottom !!--- The general concensus is " Sell the short term relief bounces " ---so i suspect that stocks will see significantly lower levels than at present !!!--- Sell notes out on BARC and other financials this morning ---and altho' lots of stocks are currently short term oversold and look like a bargain , they are actually bear traps waiting for the next " succour" --- That'll probably be me then (lol) ---- The pain will continue ---- we have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ftse100 is now in " official " Bear Market territory ----- the drop thru' 5704 ( 20% from high) . Dax has been Big bad Bear for the last 1000 pts or so --- Dow has another 7% drop from current level before declaring war on the Grizzlies !!-- Food for thought as i struggle to sleep again (lol) -- Good Night / Good Morning All !! ----

AV : -- Optimus is correct but just to add my tuppence worth , it was technically a SELL from just below Historic 460p support . Then if you missed that one the break of 428p today was the clincher !!!---- Next good historic supp. is down at 380p !!--- However, it is approaching RSI oversold and has most certainly ( like may stocks ) crashed thru' the bottom Bollinger which stands coincidently atm. right on that 428p level !!--- If the relief bounce comes tomorrow or wednesday on the main markets ( particularly the Dow ) then Aviva will pop back up to, hopefully , that 440/445p level ( 50% retrace of last drop ) --- I posted on the Aviva board the other day that waiting it out for a while was probably the best thing to do --- I'm adding a few at a time on the drops as, like Optimus says, the Fundamentals are still in tact --- it's just that atm . Financials and Insurers are most defo. out of favour !!---- Look at the drop in Barc and others !!!-- It's a gamble with anything atm ---- many see larger market drops to come yet i'm afraid !!-- GL sir ----
