Good post RS, I still believe that cines results to be released on 24th cannot be worse than AMCs, due to the fact that coming into covid AMC had 32% more debt and connected to that 25% more screens than cineworld. Therefore forced closure would logically had to have hit their income statement harder.

Hopefully when the figures are released in US it might make the news and also point out to a lot a of people that most cinemas and now open in the world and point out that a only a few US states still have restrictions which might apply pressure on these states.

I think we felt betrayed and cheated on by Jangho are not quite ready to trust another fund just yet...perhaps need some me time eatching chocolate and watching rom-coms but hopefully as you say this could be good news and next week will be better.

One could argue that if covid is as deadly and serious as the media has been telling us for the last 6 months, to the extent that the world needs to be locked down and the economy at risk of collapse, you could argue it's appropriate to release an emergency vaccine ahead of normal schedules. I feel we may have achieved more herd immunity than many think, particularly in places like Sweden but if a vaccine means we can get back to normality then that would be great.

Even if it's not happening soon that was the main reason the sp surged, as even if it didn't happen soon it makes a film studio takeover possible at some point down the line.

Actually the 73% was based on the revenue split, according to their site they have 546 cinemas in US out of total 787 round the world so 69.4% of the cinemas are in USA.

Interesting lat, that will mean cine has 64.5% of their US cinemas open. 73% of all their cinemas are in US so that would make around 47% plus the rest of the world where they are mostly open I believe of 27% = 74% of all their cinemas open from tomo.

Well AMC still at a ratio to pre-covid that would put cine at 160p
