Lol I am the same Moola, it means nothing to me beyond my greedy desire to enjoy another short term surge as we all geared up for over the last long weekend but I'm sure it'll get there.

Annoyingly Cuomo has again not announced any reopening for cinemas, but slightly bizarrely is reopening casinos. Only small silver lining is some avid New Yorkers on the boundaries of NY could catch Tenet in New Jersey or Conneticut. Hopefully in a few weeks he eventaully will change his mind.

Reviews are starting to come out, also watched a few youtube reviewers...in general people seem to be saying the actual story and characters are quite flat but the cinematography is good and basically it would have worked better in the cinema.

I don't necc see why the market would be waiting for the results on the 24th...AMC has 32% more debt with 25% more cinemas than cineworld, therefore the forced closures would have had a slightly worse impact on them so I can't see how cines results could be worse than theirs.

This story already hit on Tues eve, but sp didn't respond...or maybe it did but Janghos sell made it neutral. Hopefully it goes up tomo...some New Yorkers might head over to NJ to catch Tenet, and Regal is the only major chain with cinemas open there for the long weekend coming up.

Yes it is strange Boix, only differences I can see are cine has the potential court case and AMC has a potential deal with universal. However AMC also has 32% worse debt than cineworld coming into the covid impact (but 25% more screens) therefore even taking into account the more cinemas they have worse debt. At the moment having there sp reletive to pre-covid would put cine at 170.94p which is obviously a crazy gap.

Thanks for the explanation purchase, though not sure I agree that there is no chance of a dividend for 3 years, think it will be sooner then that as otherwise I don't see why we would expect that much of a rise from here as ultimately people invest for the dividends, or on a secondary level invest so other people buy our shares later on in order to get the dividends.

I'm guessing mostly as a response to the Hong Kong/China stuff, but perhaps also some anger at the vod decision.

With the San Diego ones and a couple of others open will mean they have 12 of their 82 Californian cinemas open so still quite a lot way to go at 15% but atleast it's a start.

Sounds good, quick turnaround. Regal will be the only major chain with cinemas open in NJ this weekend.

Wonder how quick regal can reopen in San Diego and New Jersey...cinemark have already said won't be opening this weekend in new jersey..amc and regal haven't commented yet.

You can only know in hindsight whether going all in is good or bad. Someone who went all in in the 30s recently will be very happy with their investment now. All the people with averages in the 80s and 90s would have been happy with going all in if the price in June had continued up to £1.50 like we all thought it would at the time.
