I agree with you guys completely.I have had 4 companies go 'down the pan' on me over the years and lost a fortune.Often you don't see it coming because of the lies and corruption like you say.Also when you are losing a lot already and the company starts telling potentially good news you want to believe it, and even start averaging down[ often fatal].The more you try to chase your losses the worse it gets.Sometimes as you say you reject a profit as you feel it could go up a lot more [to help your losses] just to see it plummet.I have been in this for years at a very heavy loss.in the end you are just grateful if the company still exists ! Wouldn't be nice just to get one share that went on to great things and wiped out all past errors.Unfortunately I doubt it will be this one! GLA

I agree it seems that way! Hopefully the Q4 update sometime this month then the full year in March may fire it up a bit,given it has been a record year for big diamonds and ongoing cost reductions.Hopefully we will get some news regarding the sale of the Botswana mine, and potential dividend.The SP has rose a lot from it's all time lows around .60p but unfortunateley most of us [including me] have much higher averages! I fully agree with all the comments below.This company has always been the same months/even years go past without hardly a word or any sign of progress.[only placings]I like many have been in this years just watching the SP and our money slip away. The shame is fluorspar prices have really gone up, but until we get some real progress it is not helping us.It maybe be better just to sell the assets to any interested parties,but until they get a licence or at least close to one, it is debateable how much they are worth.GLA

Indeed!.However was a good set of results and certainly looking in a better position now.But as usual the SP goes down!! I do not know what it will take to get this really moving up.It certainly goes down quick enough! The sale of the other mine is sure dragging on..hopefully when that is completed we may get a special dividend.Back to waiting as usual! GLA

Indeed.That is it now.All our money up in smoke, without even an apology.Such a shame/waste but nothing we can do.I lost a lot on this [I am sure you lost a lot more Scarlet] It is easy to say we should have seen it coming a long time ago etc.but we all know how it is, you lose so much so you don't want sell, then they offer a brighter future and we start to believe we may get our money back,so you average down more......Then lose the lot.!! I curse the day I got into shares as I am sure many do[This is not my first wipe out].Good luck Scarlet and all the guys on here.Hope we can all move on from this.

Although this was the most likely outcome, until today we could still cling on to some tiny hope.When these things happen it is easy to blame ourselves for not seeing it coming earlier etc.But the fact is when you are sitting on a massive loss and a company keeps suggesting a better future [waterflood etc.] it is human nature to believe it, in the hope of seeing your money back.By the time it starts looking really bad there is hardly anything left anyway [Then suspension] It certainly feels here they did not try hard to find a better solution and surely we should have been told the waterflood had failed.It was only disclosed on the chapter 11 application. I like many have been involved in several wipe outs [aswell as this one] who ever you blame the result is always the same. Shareholders don't even get an apology for their years of loyalty [in many cases] and all their hard earned they are going to lose because the company screwed up.It is always hard to accept,but what choice do we have.I hope we all have better luck in the future.

I am sure us shareholders will be wiped out whatever happens, but you would like to think JC has some proposal/idea because if not why bother with this. If he was just going to sell/liquidate why want to be a director.If he was also looking to buy the assets on the cheap surely he couldn't be a director.Although I believe it is too late for us SH this may buy some time and maybe bring new interest.Rick and Chuck have hardly any shares where as JC has a lot more to lose. A miracle is required for us to see anything though. GLA

Am I right in thinking the deadline for calling the requested meeting is nearly up.The RNS was on 10th May and the meeting was meant to be called within 21 days.Surely they must comply with the request regardless of the Chapter11 etc.Any thoughts anyone? GLA

mariog I completely agree.They probably paid a fortune to those so called investment advisors just to be told sell it for anything you can get! There was no evidence of exploring all avenues like mergers/partial sale of assets/more farm outs etc.They have known for ages about the loan deadline unyet seemingly left it all to the last minute.I think they were just praying the Waterflood would work and save them, but had no back up if it failed.I honestly cannot see any hope now.It is such a shame for all us LTH and such a waste of a company that was still producing etc.GLA

Surely they must have tried to renegotiate the CBA loan as their first option.i assume they are not listening and just want there money back.The problem i suppose is as the WF seemingly failed and production is on the decline there is little to negotiate with.As you say mariog a rights ssue at these levels would be more or less wipe out,but if the company was to be saved from almost certain demise as is, it may rally somewhat .It depends what the terms were.Either way it is not looking good for us SH.GLA

Hi Glasgowpunter, I am no diamond expert but given the mine is developed and was operational it should be quite a lot. I doubt they would ever get back what it has cost them though.I would think certainly tens of millions maybe �80m but that is a pure guess.Maybe someone else on here has a better idea.? GLA

You would really think JC would have loads of financial contacts/clout to refinace this.Surely even Rick would sooner find a solution to help all shareholders and save face for himself.It does not make sense why him and Chuck seem almost determined to finIsh the company.It is quite obvious now why they never bought more shares when everyone was calling for it.Their shareholdings are peanuts,so they will lose hardly anything.I have been unfortunate [like many] to be involved in several 'wipe outs'.Unless something happens soon i fear this will be another.GLA

The usual muted reaction in SP despite this good news.I think what would really move this is news of the sale of Botswana[for a good price].We would be awash with cash then, and reduce costs even further.There could be a special dividend maybe! This SP still seems very undervalued now.GLA

Also given the bank loan is due to be paid off by 1/6/18 surely anytime after that could be too late.Would the chapter 11 stop them from foreclosing after that that date? Although this call for a meeting is a great development and our only hope,we are certainly a long way from saved.GLA

I would take that to mean they have a buyer and it is going through.I assume there will be a seperate RNS with details as the sale progresses, as this was primarily for the Q1 results.The results I thought were great.The company is really turning around.With the money from the sale we would be awash with money! Unyet as usual the share price barely moves or even falls.I will never understand this share even though I have been in it for years! Hopefully there will be a delayed reaction..GLA

It is such a shame for all us LTH on here,that it should end like this,just as POO is really going up.Although there maybe a tiny glimmer of hope it is looking very unlikely now.To add to my woes my broker was Beaufort !! so I can't even sell for a massive loss even if I wanted to.By the time they sort the Adinistration of Beaufort out there won't be anything left of my portfolio anyway!!.Shares to, me and no doubt many others have been one disaster after another! We have nearly lost all our gains from the recent finds,yet nothing has changed! As a LTH with a quite high average [despite averaging down] I can relate to the negative posters on here.Although we are in a better place than previously because of fluorspar prices and the MOU,we all know on aim optimisim is short lived when there is no follow up news.This Co.is renowned for long periods of seemingly non activity which If happens again is going to bring us right back again.There are still a lot of fluorspar produces out there who can produce more on demand.We do not want to 'miss the boat' yet again.You would hope the MOU meant there was something expected to happen in the near future as oppossed to years ahead.We will see.GLA
