@Ben - i shall try but its difficult when you are 'working from home' and have the app on your phone!!

Q2 was a bad quarter with a fall in demand for fuel caused by the lockdowns (oils prices also hovered around $20).

for a good part of Q3 prices have been sat around $40ish mark and there must have been some increase in demand due to the lifting of lockdown measures (even though we now have a partial lockdown in place) - this is one of the main reasons i think Q3 should not be as bad as Q2.

i agree, in the long run, this will be an incredible share but in the short/medium - its going to make some people cry (including me lol).

I totally agree with the point that covid-19 is over exaggerated - we have had rising cases but minimal deaths in comparison to earlier this year....i also think the virus will never completely 'go away.' We have a flu jab yet people still die from the flu - i think covid will be similar type of virus in a number of years.

Trying to say patient and not panic but seeing the numbers reduce daily is painful. I really hope they bounce back sooner than later.

exist same predicament I am in! my common sense tells me this is it, only one way to move and thats up, and the complete opposite happens.
I still think Q3 results will be good news for people like us but others may disagree.....

I am making a massive loss on this atm and its ridiculous (accept that my losses wont be as large as other but still a loss). A part of me wants to short to make back some of my losses but i just dont see it dropping lower - and then it drops lower! painful to say the least!

Totally agree, i still do think its a strong buy and hold (for people like myself) but can get a little frustrating when you don't see much light for over a month. I do think markets will improve when the lockdowns ease.....this bring me onto the interesting topic of a vaccine.

I am not one for conspiracy theories etc but i like to keep my mind open to different opinion on the current situation. I read somewhere that we could have a vaccine either before the presidential election (to help Trump) or just after the election to (to cement victory). If i was to pick one id pick the latter but who knows?!

I do however believe we will have a vaccine this year.

Wow....catching up with some bedtime reading. Incredible how everyone argues on this forum. I hold a small position in Lloyd's and I hope the predication of 30p comes true. Very optimistic IMHO.

I still honestly believe Q3 results will bring some good news (better than previous Qs this year anyway). We should see an increase in late Oct if any (IMO)....but before then we can expect some ups and downs i guess.

Would have loved to see a straight line recovery but unlikely in the current climate.

I completely understand what you are saying in terms of holding the position.

As stated in my initial post I am generally in for the long term but I have invested some monies, which I shouldn't have (should have stayed in the bank as you said) so thought id get the opinion of some of the more seasoned traders!

Relatively new to this thread and i have seen some interesting opinion.

I have invested at an average of 26p so down a little ATM and although I see the price increasing - I don't see it happening anytime soon. Unfortunately for me I bought some at 25.5p to average down to 26 but the 25.5p purchase was relatively large so I don't think it was worth averaging down. Would want a SP increase to around 26p so I can pull out at no loss and would then be happy holding the remaining at 26.5p (till things start looking upwards). What's everyone's opinion on small fluctuations this week? I personally think its hard to call so a bit uneasy atm (crap thing about investing and then your circumstances change and you need the money).
