Good chance higher next week after consolidation. If we are trading at a discount to NAV, then we won't drop by the full 3.75m. Perhaps only 80%, so bal 750m. / 2700 : 27p upside next week.. Markets are really keeping this down this week.

Not sure why you say it's tomorrow but "Subject to shareholder approval, each Shareholder will receive one B Share for each Ordinary Share held by that Shareholder at the Record Time, which is expected to be 6pm (UK time) on 13 May 2022. " Example was 101.69p / 76 for every 100 held.

But it could revert back to to 100p/ and 75/100 given the share price is 410p.. Anyway if the SP remains low next week, I can reinvest the dividends cash I expect to get on 19th.. If the ratio is 75/100 , then the future yr dividend is back to 31.5p.. so at 410p, gives a yield of 7.68% . Excellent.

Trading update on 18th May might give us a positive boost.. IF we can get the Div and B share money invested sub 420p in May and then ride up to 450p in Q3 and 480p in Q4. that will be fine with me. 520p is still the target as per brokers..

Potentially these lower prices are giving us a little reinvestment discount bonus.. because I thought 440p would hold and we would be reinvesting at the 460p level next week..

I just picked up some more in the 416p range. At 31p div, that's almost 7.45% yield // bounce back to 430p .. ? Perhaps 450p June.

Sort of expected the downward movement today given US markets last week.. and today.. but think the yield supports this very well.. Should pick up again as we close in on the 16th May. Only 3 weeks away and more opportunity to buy some cheaper stock .

I also had the thought AB might want to merge Enquest with Petrofac.. at somepoint. Done it before and make a lot of money.

I was thinking of buying the new bond once it's trading.. perhaps pick it up at a discount and still collect the 9%.. so no rush to buy at the offer. hence the low take up imv.

Definitely best to diversify if you have accumulated too many over the last few years with 3 requests for cash... Even AB probably only has 10%/20%/30% of his family wealth in Enquest.. Can only guess , but it isn't 100%.

As per Google 5 yr chart, the current share price is 15.90% down from 5 yrs ago.. It was £5.25 and is now £4.41

Shareholders and activists want it above £5 asap.. We have a good chance of achieving this based on the new yield.

Where the Share Consolidation results in a fraction of a share, this will be aggregated and sold in the market. Net proceeds of the sale (after deduction of all expenses and commissions incurred) are expected to be distributed by 31 May 2022.

The conversion calculator uses the share price on 4th April which happens to be 423.3p .it's just an example. There is no loss on conversion . The share price is moving up, and you have sold making the wrong assumption that the 423.3p is fixed already. You have to estimate the post consolidation price based on the new yield. Mine is 4.60p on 13 May and 4.80p on 16th May and £5 afterwards in say early June .

About where I think as well by 13 May . Then the weekend transaction and heading to £5 imv .

Google showing 444.30p which is a couple of pence above the close . Same thing happened yesterday.

Still think about 460p on 13 May is a reasonable target. Then 480p on 16 May. Above £5 once the B cash gets reinvested.

Yes , if I use the B shares money and repurchase the same shares at the same price within 30days, I defer the CGT , If the price moves up and I get less shares , then the difference is a small loss , If the price goes lower and I get more shares than I originally had , i make a small gain , I assume the 30 day rule is applicable imv ,

Some say to sell all on 13 May and repurchase on 16 May and avoid the delay in B shares cashflow , but I think the price will jump on 16 May so I’m staying in .

Your correct SCSC , I’m thinking the same and the approx 31p has already been confirmed .

Any non Isa CGT concerns are mitigated by the 30 day rule , so just buy them back when the B shares money arrives.

Most of the concerns I read on here are based on incorrect analysis and so they make the wrong decisions .

Let this play out , Some seem to think moving from a 5% share to 7% won’t budge the share price higher. But I think this will trend to £5 .

Aviva is typically a £4 ish share price , we are already at £4.35 plus div of 14.7p so almost £4.50. 50p gain and more to come , Brokers indicate £4.80 to £5.20 , which is a decent amount of wealth creation . Ideally we want to reach our post consolidation price before the 13 May .
