Commodity prices.. Brent $100 moving to $140 if Russian oil and gas supply to Europe declines in response to sanctions.. Looking at renewing my electric/gas contract.. even with the cap, things look very expensive.. I feel the pinch will come very quickly in April.. with discretionary spending in the UK hit very hard.. but think I can cut back on drinking water.

1. Debt reduction today from 1 Jan 2022 isn't materially different to start of year... also not all extra NAV gets to SP. perhaps 50%
2. Haven't seen the accounts and deferred tax adjustment.. And even if we get the best outcome, how do we know Enquest just spoils it all with a write-off from somewhere.
3. Non-urgent refinance still pending / looking at options.. but I guess the last $500m of debt is fairly meaningless.

Look forward to the accounts in March.. see the real equity position..! . Let debt reduction gain momentum... and perhaps by the AGM, our net debt will be less than $1b and Brent is near $100.

I read the other day Natwest were no longer lending to upstream ie E&P . But further downstream is still ok.

You've been here a while Squif, just like myself.. it's hard to argue with your historical facts.. but I do believe there is a $1b upside here over 12mths to equity ... which is supporting the share price where it is at the moment. Vitol saying $100 oil in 6 to 9 mths time.. so let's see it pan out.. Google needs to see the equity data released in accounts.. Even you said things here will look better at the end of the year.

Clearly we are producing under our threshold given we have seen higher rates in prior years.. so we have some catching up to do in 2022. Action plan is to invest more until we get production back to our threshold limit.. and perhaps use our contacts to negotiate with the Government for a higher limit now that the riser is fixed.

Hi KO.. Guess I want to see us move into a 3 year super cycle on oil.. $100 plus.. and like others, see Enquest execute well on what they have.. sit on the their hands and not mess things up . Let's see what Brent prices are in Q3. I'd prefer net debt to be $500m or less before any larger projects like Bressay are undertaken. AB has super confidence in the 2P/2C, but Magnus 2021 production is evidence that it's not that easy. AB might be thinking in 3 years time the SP will be fantastic if we enter a super cycle.. and it's good to see JP Morgan suggest 34p today.. but it's only the strongest oil companies attracting investors....the rest including us are still on the bench.

As AB said in his reply.. the Bonds need refinancing first.. Before Oct 2023.. but for how much ?
