FWIW I think they picked up the many who were dissatisfied with the Tories but couldn’t bring themselves to vote for labour or reform rather than their actual policies.

All depends on how you view the figures. At the start of this month is was 1p lower than 6 months ago & the same price as it was a year ago.

I can live with a near 10% dividend with cpi @2%.

Thatcher came into power with the country literally on her knees and at a time when a female had to be twice as good as her male colleagues.

Blair inherited a largely mended country with a rising economy, falling social costs and an almost unheard of majority with the added bonus of massive goodwill for all the things he was promising.

IMHO Thatcher performed miracles with the cards she had whilst Blair didn't and is largely responsible for many of the problems we are now facing today.

4th July we are very much between a rock and a hard place but if Labour do get in and implement their school plan then I feel that will be the final curtain for the UK, as all the children will be screwed. In 20 odd years time the Thick Tok generation will be running the show , God help us!
