That sounds like the right way to do it if their only job is to afford to pay staff for the time it takes to complete an RTO and/or sell the assets.

Depending on the terms, I'd expect a partnership/licensing deal to be roughly on par with a takeover offer.

But how does that £500 get carved up when you consider distribution, manufacturing, legal fees, administration, marketing, etc?

If this sells for £500 a dose I wouldn't just assume Synairgen gets as much as 20% of that. I haven't even mentioned the licensor taking a cut, or the cost of storage for a temperature-sensitive medication.

That equates to more than 10m doses per year with Synairgen pocketing £100 per dose. I don't think that's realistic.

Six month extensions have been granted to other companies attempting to RTO. Google it.

If Motif have been in talks with RTO candidates, I'm confident that would be strong enough grounds for an extension to be granted if requested. That's just based on recent reports of what's happened with other companies in a similar position.

capslock - It seems they would have been granted a six-month extension before being suspended if they'd asked for one. But since they didn't, we're assuming they don't need it. If an RTO is successful, the company will (most likely) change names from Motif to whoever took it over. Assuming it all goes how we want, when everything is finalized the suspension will lift and the shares will be tradeable again.

Guys I heard the White House was relocating to S****horpe. Just a rumour though so I thought I'd better check.

I'm quite confident that the directors' and shareholders' interests are aligned here, so I don't think the delay was anything to be concerned about. If there's no RNS tomorrow I might have to rethink that though.

Just read the second and third paragraphs. Even I can't make sense of the first one.

I was at the lack of suspension announcment this morning, and even more so at the end of the day. But after rereading the June 22nd RNS, it looks like it was never supposed to be today.

"the Company is required to make an acquisition which constitutes a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules by 28 July 2020, failing which the Company's ordinary shares would be suspended from trading on AIM pursuant to AIM Rule 40."

So it seems they always had until the end of today to make the acquisition, and the lack of suspension and announcement today aren't a sign of anything gone awry.
