I doubt it. They'd have to be aiming to raise tens of millions to justify that sort of drop. What would they do with it?

It would depend on a lot of things: How much of that 20% is profit? How long will the order take to fulfill, months or years? Is it a new customer or just a continuation of a previous order? New product or existing? Will it lead to further new business? Is the company equipped to fulfil the order or will it need to scale up operations?

The list goes on. But I'd say just a few percent, unless the market decides it's worth a lot more and people scramble to buy in.

With all the success it's brought people here, it's easy to forget the people whose lives have been devastated by this disease. The last six months have been ****ing miserable for NHS staff and the elderly, vulnerable and their relatives.

I think he/she's saying that if you're only expecting a 20% increase from the current price, there are other investments out there that will offer more. i.e. 25%.

I get the impression they don't come along that often. Probably less than ten times per year. I don't know of any official list, but you could probably do worse than Googling "cash shell" and setting the time range to six months.

Most of the speech is about how ill-prepared our country was to tackle Covid, and how a new bureaucratic structure is somehow going to fix that. No mention of addressing the de-facto budget cuts the NHS has had to deal with for the past 10 years, though.

Andrew5220 - Although the latest significant RNS came out on a Monday morning, I think a large part of the reason for the Monday hype is that more developments are expected to occur between Friday evening and Monday morning than any other day simply because more time passes during that period.

Also, in my opinion major news tends to be released the morning before trading opens. But technically it's supposed to be released as soon as it's known.

It says Julian Lowe, International Sales Director for Modern Water plc, will present an overview of Modern Water's innovative forward osmosis and AMBC in zero-liquid discharge applications at IE expo China on August 14, 2020.

There's also another post on there that says:

Modern Water is participating in the China International Environmental Protection Exhibition & Conference. CIEPEC 2020 will be held online from August 6th to 8th.

So it looks like they have a presence at two different events being held in China.

Seems like a reasonable answer. I've only got a small stake so I haven't researched it as much as some long-term holders here. All of this is my opinion and could be completely innaccurate, so research and verify it yourself. But, among other things, MWG manufactures and sells real-time water monitoring equipment. The technology's been developed over many years and won an engineering award in China earlier this year, which pushed the share price up a litte before it gradually slid back. I believe the technology was originally intended for monitoring the release of toxins from industrial process, to prevent leakage into water supplies and the environment. But it uses bioluminescence to detect bacteria and viruses, so a constant Covid detection test could be on the horizon and is currently under development in collaboration with Avacta. I think it has the potential to help the cruise industry recover and could provide an early warning system for this and future pandemics globally.

Progress on everything non-Covid related seems to have slowed down in the past six months. But with Synairgen's fortunes on the rise, it seems to me that they could be the most obvious candidate for partnering on the Phase 2 trials.
