It looks like they were suspended for just over five months before the RTO was completed and trading resumed. So we might want to make ourselves comfortable and see what happens.

I've read that Phase 1 milestone payments can be a pretty decent chunk of the overall amount. Whether that's the case here, no idea. No other figures have been released for this deal aside from the total value that you mentioned, to my knowledge.

My understanding is that would then leave them in a position of either: a) owning a minority stake in their own company, or b) having to outbid the market to buy a controlling stake in a company that, currently, they already own in full.

Hopefully the AIM rules permit another vote on that resolution. If we're told why it was necessary, maybe the result would go the other way.

As a special resolution it needed 75% to pass.

Resolution 7 didn't pass, so doesn't that mean the board can't allocate new shares to an RTO candidate?

Given that, is it even possible for an RTO to go ahead now even if there's a company that wants to? I'm aware of one or two ways, but hasn't today's result made it considrably more difficult (and therefore less likely)?

The President doesn't choose the location of the debates, the Commission on Presidential Debate does. It's a bipartisan group.

Although the President could possibly have some input, the location was chosen in late July. So if he'd decided back then he was going to get this drug the go ahead, but then delayed the news for two months so he could claim the glory while people died, I don't think that would go down well. Just my opinion though.

It's not even like there's a chance of anybody seeing the benefit of the drug by then. The election's only five weeks away.

Verify it yourselves but it seems to say they submit the IND and it automatically goes into effect 30 days later unless they're told otherwise. After that, each patient has to be approved for it individually. But that's just a phone call by their physician and the submission of some details on paper. And because of the time pressure here, I think that part can actually be done AFTER the patient has begun receiving treatment.

But today's news means that it will reach the patients who need it this winter anyway. Plus, there will be considerably more data to back up the approval application soon.

I can't see why they would approve it before the current trial is complete, especially when the supply side isn't even in place.
