I mentioned the main issues on this front would be higher costs/delays to commerciality and potential dilution! I also own Avacta and it is interesting that the the whole dynamic of driving the business forward now seems mired in the bureaucracy of testing/committees/peer revues. Sadly many of the people in these fields have no commercial nous and cannot see the need for a dramatic speed up in due process.

Dildo is a proven incompetent. However she is mates with David Ross the Car Phone warehouse boss who is a big donor to the Tory party. Therefore she is well connected and has pulled the right plonkers for the role.

I mean something like Ilika (battery technology) is valued at £125m and still well away from profits...unlike cpx which should be profitable soon.

A 20p price would value this at £88m..if my sums are correct. Don't think that's out of order for what they have now.

Profit......that would be nice. If the company can move to having positive earnings then that would greatly underpin the sp. For past few years has traded mainly on sentiment rather than fundamentals. I know some folk have talked of a dividend at some stage. Happy initially to just have some positive earnings.

I expect results this month and a positive update. Worth a re-read of the corporate update from Sept 10th. Trading has been 'strong'...had to read that twice. Also for AK to write that (not known for bigging up the company). Plus everything seems on track relating to Murata. Could this be the first time for years when it's worth picking up some shares AHEAD of the results?!

Agree..he seems to be wise after the event. I assume results will be this month..maybe early Nov. As usual it's all about the outlook. Maybe revisions to broker forecasts. Market cap here is low in my view for what they have..but rather reflects ten years of relative failure.

It rather suggests cpx came to market 10 years too early. If it had come to market in 2020 and valuation would be multiples of what it is now. A company on the cusp of supplying into a nascent growth market ec etc.

Anyone think there will be anything from the Tesla battery day to benefit the cpx story? Or is it that the more widespread use of supercaps in general will help all? Cpx focus in auto seems to have moved from battery linked more to the smaller end such as key fobs and the like.

This ticks most of the boxes so wondering whether to add more. Just trying to get my head around the funding position. RM didn't give much away on that front. Obviously finance could come from a number of sources...decisions/decisions.

The more I read I believe cpx has a technology edge over many rivals enhanced by the 3v offering.
Some of it certainly relates to the liquid electrolyte.

Yes very difficult to value this. Are there any brokers notes? Having been through a torrid time the new management team will not repeat mistakes of the past. Got to say that small companies getting involved in automotive never tends to work out well.

Yes agree. The Royalty route was not working..was taking too long and users were simply not bothering about the patents. In that respect AK was naive. However this opportunity came about and he seized it with both hands. Got to think the sp will reflect this before long. Got to be a double digit number!

Indeed in theory. Though I wouldn't be overly surprised if in a month's time the sp was 4p and folk are talking about expected news!!!
