RE: Months3 Feb 2020 16:59
I have read a number of articles where a BOD has deliberately starved the market of news and media to ensure interest in the company falls away and subsequently the share price drops thus reducing it's value. One could argue this is what is going on at Ascent now, then add to the mix the desire to add a death spiral form of funding ASAP, ensuring it would bring the attention market short entities thus further pressurising the share price.
When you listen back at the conference call it was a call about nothing, simply a PR stunt, nothing for investors to get excited about. So is this the plan, namely to reduce the value of Ascent to peanuts and then hey presto a low bid comes in which is then recommended by the BOD.
The prospective acquirer could offer the BOD employment or pay them off handsomely for example, these things happen.
I put this out as a matter of interest, not implying anything, readers have to make their own minds up.
