Align continue to build a position & an extension of the Cuba MOU which is probably a good thing, allows the Slovenia situation to conclude + they will know the US election result, Ascent has suggested a Biden win would be a positive.

Not a time to be out, if market makers mark down the stock due to conditions I am sure there are many who will happily take advantage.

Everyone seems to be scrambling to get their hands on as many shares as possible, can't think why !

Is an amicable settlement about to be announced over the weekend with an RNS Monday ?

Back in the buy zone, assuming you can get any, news that LO are out cannot be far away, then it opens up the funding situation which could be via private entities.

From a technical perspective, without stating the obvious Condor shares are seriously oversold and due a reasonable bounce, the RSI is in the trough, the lowest since November last year.

Gold is bouncing also, any traders looking for an entry point now is as good as any for a long time.

Book has turned positive, from a technical perspective the shares look seriously oversold.

The RSI (Relative Strength Index) is at a 6 month low, ORR shares have bounced strongly from this level in the past.

Could be a decent entry point.

Looks like folk who took part in the placing are dumping, I suppose any profit in current market conditions is welcome.

There has to be a floor around the .34p placing price surely.

It has been nigh impossible to buy any meaningful level of stock since yesterday afternoon, the company valuation is balmy when you consider what they have in Slovenia - £45m spend etc.

A deal looks on, my view is 10p will be breached, possibly today, but I am personally looking for an exit circa 30p which would value AST at only half of their historic spend of £24m.

Risk reward definitely favours upside.

Negotiated trades only towards the close.

City based individuals building 3%+ positions for the last few months, now Align want to convert their loan into shares all of a sudden, follow the money, can see this at 10p+ soon enough.

Looks like a deal with the Slovenians is on, new gas pipeline running right through AST's project to boot !

I think the situation is getting clearer by the day and accordingly the result will be a good one for Ascent shareholders, I am still staggered, given recent news, that AST is still trading sub £5m market valuation.

My view is it seems inevitable a deal will be done, the risk reward ratio at current levels vastly favours the bulls, I still think the shares will be trading in double figures soon enough, can 20p+ be ruled out, not in my opinion.

Again follow the money, another city based entity has bought a notifiable stake recently.

It is worth remembering that at the suspension price equity is only valued at £15m, the suspension price was determined by fear of shareholder wipe out either by a significant debt for equity swap or the dreaded 'pending clarification of the financial position' statement, which usually leads to entire shareholder loss. Panic selling came in to drive the price to where it ended.

As pointed out by others the shares hit 1.9p late February as recovery potential started to be factored in by the market but even at this level equity was only valued at £40m

Since then the gold price has risen $500 oz
The company has become operationally profitable
Debt costs have significantly reduced and repayment schedules less demanding
Corporate governance has improved
Operational performance has improved
A new suite of mine site staff/managers appointed
Add to the mix the gold sector is red hot.

The debt position is circa £100m but this can be paid down quickly at current gold prices, every £10m drop in the debt is effectively worth .50p on the share price.

The interim results are supposed to be announced by the end of this month, i.e. next week, these could be a significant share price driver if further progress is evident.

In my view anyone selling below 2.5p are gifting their shares away in the short term. I feel the opening share price should reflect the aforementioned positives and predict an opening around 2p-2.5p range if they do not open in this range it is a slam dunk buy.

If those interim results show improving financials and operational performance 3p + is clearly on.

Xtract have been tipped by UK Investor as a year end share move higher, commentary comes around 25 minutes into the media.

Suggestion is the market should start to see the value with a 2p+ move.

One cannot rule out news on Monday or a press leak over the weekend, it's rather ironic that the press seem to get wind of events before they are officially released.

I believe we are on the cusp of a deal which should include a monetary contribution, I have been suggesting (from around 2.5p) that folks should follow those city based individuals that have been quietly building stakes in AST.

The fact the 'quantum expert' has not delivered the compensation number as anticipated tells me all I need to know, I have been adding to my position, I fully believe the shares will be trading many multiples higher soon enough, even at 20p the market value would only be £15m

The clock is ticking folks.

The one aspect I found interesting in the recent RNS was the wording below..

'with a view to potentially settling the claim in an amicable manner in the SHORT term'

I would suggest news could come at any time, I certainly do not expect this to linger long, if a meeting takes place the Slovenians will make an offer and AST management will either accept it or not, it is most likely that any reasonable offer will be accepted.

Given the above selling out could be very unwise, I still believe the share price will soon be in double figures sooner than later, remember 10p a share is only a £7.5m m/cap.

I am in no doubt at all that the share price will soon be in double figure's, the market valuation of Ascent (£4.5m) is simply not up with the reality of the situation, all media reports suggest the Gov want to reach a settlement with the company, this is material.

I believe a deal will be reached, note that the 'quantum expert' who was working on the exact damages claim has not reported 'imminently' as suggested on 10th September. I take this as a positive and adds weight to a deal being done.

I believe any deal will involve a level of cash compensation, this could be material verses the current valuation of Ascent, I cannot see the new board accepting less than £15m

So the time to buy or add is now, I see 10p-15p entirely possible in the short term, would value Ascent at only £7.5m/£11m

Worth noting with only 76m shares in issue at 10p the market cap would only be £7.6m !

This has to be a realistic 1st target price.

I think due to poor historic performance AST has slipped under the radar, only clued up folk realise the significance if permits are due to be given the green light and a possible cash compensation award, even £10m would be a dream from this low £3m m/cap base.

Very little risk from these levels IMO but the upside could be dramatic, silence from the company suggests something is going on IMO.
