Dan Hayes wrote me back on the 25th, saying there will be a Q2 update mid July.

Guys, I'm editing while I'm posting because I'm typing on an iphone with fat thumbs.

The Q2 results should be out mid July according to an email I got from Dan Hayes when asking about the specific payment terms for the GM deal.

The response wasn't really satisfying.

@Pearls: Of course I will, it's just so strange that there is no resonance and no talk about them in the market (talk to AWS, GCP, Microsoft). This it was worries me.

If everything goes according to plan, I'm a happy camper.

The slipped deal story is just strange, as well as the number of VP's.

There is a huge market out there for them, especially in Automotive, but at least recent conversations to the likes of Audi, BMW and Valeo, no one mentioned them anymore.

Pearls, agree it's not only about the big deals. They had some nice wins in 2022 with their legacy products.

The problem is, that there is nothing at all coming in...

Imagine them going to a bank: We're Cirata (don't bother withe the name change), we're burning cash for 20 consecutive years. Can we burn yours as well?

Q2 was catastrophic, no way anyone can deny that.

First of all, Marketing and Sales should go together in an ideal world.

Chris Pemberton was a great CMO, wonder if you've read his farewell note.

I just emphasized on the sales team, because we see close to kothing from them at all... Where are the slipped Q4/23 slipped deals... Q1/24 the same.

All these statements about management culture and forward looking anouncement ooze desperation...

They don't do anything mentionable at the moment, just partnership anouncements that lead to nothing (like the Azure thing 3 years ago).

Fancy anouncements won't help, they need to deliver.

As if marketing was their problem 😬

We'll see, I'm still very concerned. 500k for company that's burning millions per quarter doesn't get me that excited.

As I said, they were working on the first GM deal already in 2022, not really sure if Kelly's engagement has made that much of a difference at all.

I suspect, that the US CRO should be able to handle a deal of that size.

As for me I'm enjoying the beautiful weather (as long as it lasts) 🙂.

I don't what kind of a commision plan they have place. I asume, that no one gets a full commission on this, until the 4 Petabyte have been used up.

That's the way most companies would handle this.

Somehow funny, that you give investors the 490k statement, before erverything is rock solid.

but you know how Azure Marketplace usually works, you pay as you go, that means the 490k won't in the bank until they have used up the 4 Petabyte.

I'll drop an email to investor relations, see if they can give us more details.

Agree, but I do think today's anouncement is worth a RNS. Following a simple rule, if the sales guy gets commission for it, it's a new deal.

I'm I the only one who finds that sentence 'This phase will again be transacted...' a bit strange.

Anyway, a quarter without any deals is alarming.

They should be working on several deals and them all coming in in the last week of the week of the quarter is a bit too much of coincidence. Things like that happen, but in combination with the slipped deals story it raises suspesions on my side.

I know I'm repeating myself here, but the VP / sales ratio is just insane.

I sincerely hope so.

Again this is just a software guy in me:

1. A renewal is not a new deal, in 20+ years I never heard any CRO or CEO mentioning a renewal as a new deal

2. If a slipped deal doesn't come in in the first 4-6 weeks (and 6 is a long stretch) of new quarter, it wasn't a deal in the first place or really badly qualified.

We all know that there is potential out there, let's hope fornthe best.

@pearls: What new customers are you talking about? Obviously not GM, because thet were working on that deal already in December 2022.

Let's hope we'll see a strong finish.
