Shared Responsibility Model: Cloud providers (like Microsoft, Google, AWS) are typically not responsible for backing up your data. Customers must maintain their own backup solutions.

Data Sovereignty: Backups must comply with GDPR, meaning data residency must be understood. It is highly recommended that backups are stored within the EU/EEA to avoid risks associated with data transfers to non-compliant regions.

Fully agree with SK, one more reason to engage in Continental Europe.

Why is there no Cirata activity in the EU?

France, DACH, Netherlands...

There are massive opportunities out there and Cirata is looking into NZ.

Just watched the video, same as always, great product, great outlook, great customers.

The real big data iniatives happen in the EU, check what the numbers for other data orchestration solutions.

I find it really strange, that we hear nothing about Symphony sales...

When SK said a few weeks back that they are working on use cases, I was shocked. Devellop a product, define use cases afterwards? Strange.

Regarding partnerships: the only thing that really seems to work is the IBM stuff. Common knowledge, that these were renewals. We are talking about legacy solutions, more or less a technology that will be replaced in the next years.

Hadoop, not really a cutting edge technology these days.

Databricks, Azure, AWS and the likes? Come one, no movement whatsoever, the same BS (Pardon my french) that Wandisco gave us all those years.

While others in that space have a 7 digit MRR, Cirata has delivers nothing.

Sovereignty: Why is Cirata not part of any of the initiatives in Continental Europe? The whole GTM approach seems to be more than a year behind everybody else.

Honestly, there is just bo demand for what they have to offer.

It's a niche product, that might work on a smaller scale, nothing more. Too small to justify expensive management.

Cirata is just too niche.

All that random talk on Linkedin about AI won't change that.

There are more sophisticated and proven solutions out there.

The TAM for what Wanrata can actually do is not that big as it might seem and it never was.

Sometimes it's just not enough to bring in big names.

What really worries me, is that no one in the industry talks about them anymore.

None of my contacts is looking into them anymore, there are far better solutions out there.

Obviously the CFO didn't believe in a bright future for Cirata.

The need to sell stuff, not just talk about selling and improving accountability and salesforecast accuracy.

Second CFO to leave Cirata, always a good sign ;-)

We all know that SK has been struggling at Cirata, but I strongly believe that he is a decent chap.

If there was really a demand for Cirata's offerings, you wouldn't need the CEO and CRO flying around and meeting customers and partners all the time.

If you need C-level engagement to close renewals, you've lost it.

That isn't the right modus operandi for a proper sales organization.

All the sovereignty posts, way too late to the party.

Guys, look what France is doing, they're migrating PB's @ scale. No Cirata engagement whatsoever.

No strategy whatsoever.

The lack of transparency, renewals posing as new deals, this all is really concerning.

I basically said the same a year ago, including the big opportunities around sovereignty.
