Good morning all
Reading all posts today...I want to put to you this way that ,if you buy a gold bar now and after a few months the gold price drops badly, obviously you lost on what you bought as your timing was not lucky or correct but in reality you haven’t lost materially as you still have your gold bar but definitely will lose money if you sell now but why would you if you are not in need of money? Unless you are the type who panics quickly and sell to relieve your anxiety and then ends in anger and sadness and perhaps you want to see others doing the same to share your pains and eases you guilt of losing money and more so if you did this repeatedly..
Well To Leem..I don’t think shares investing is your cup of tea at present time and I genuinely feel your pains as I did over 30 years ago what you are going through now so my sympathy with you but now if you are not investing here any longer ,it’s obviously your extreme words of negativity in G and oilers are affecting some here and your timing again is not right too as we all still holding and some in substantial numbers including me wanting to hear a more balanced views and factually correct but not all dooms and glooms at the current time. Please try to do this then you are welcome to do this..
Turning to G and other oilers and thinking when the OP went down to less than $30 ,none of the common names went bust and some were more in worse place than now like Enq,tlw, pmo,Hur,G and GKP .
All of those now in a far better situation than before at a higher op than $27 in 2015!
I have not sold any and in fact I sold in other sectors to buy more HUR and pmo at current hammered down prices!
Holding assets like shares, gold,or property...all are similar and cyclicals so selling in downturn in not a good strategy unless you are a novice kind of investor..
Holding strong and walking through the storm as I did many times before!
OP will obviously be volatile for the short term but since the beginning of the year it has gone down by 30% and will rebound and in every oil producing countries interest to see this...as none is happy with this low OP a solution will be found soon..if not already in planning before the market opens again tomorrow....it is all additional fears adding to the current virus situation..
Any one betting for op rise tomorrow....just trying to be optimistic! Or may be not until Tuesday!
GLA and keep strong
