Ocelot...if you look and the charts of Dow and Ftsee together....there is a lot for Ftsee to catch up with the Dow as per historical. This is why imv ,now is the best time to buy at low prices and by the end of this tax year 5/4/2020 there are billions to be thrown into the shares by fund managers and ISAs. I see the ftsee by end of march over 7000..
This current volatility is great for smart investors including rotating shares from one bashed sector to a more bashed one!
Oil near its low perhaps so oil companies are at bargain prices for example and so on..but having a basket of shares to be on the safe side when many sectors rebound at different times but some may take much longer than others.

Ftse is at bargain base or not far at this level so opportunity to pick bargains everywhere now in many bashed sectors....basically the sale is on!

Being located where it is brings uncertainty in many aspects including payments to IOC.
Conclusion..market doesn’t like uncertainty and topped by low current OP leading to sp bashings.
I see it as simple as that! But if you want great dividends and fundamentally solid company then stay the course until things become orderly to regain market confidence.our time will come sooner or later but all eggs in one basket is a big mistake too imv. My basket has around 12 different shares and G with gkp around 18% now.
I don’t think G is for speculations or short term trading either.
Any other views are welcome.
For me Dow in deep red is fine to pick a bargain tomorrow !

Ftse ends below my expectations but healthier for upswing again in short term...
I must admit I don’t like Gold going up even with cutting interest rate..as it feels investors are running away from risky investing like shares..
Cutting interest rate would not solve any of the Coronavirius virus fears and consequences but containment will hopefully very soon...
Tomorrow another day.

DOW may end today in red but our Ftse stays up over a 100 points...

Sold some recent gains in other shares so some cash is ready on the dips!

I already got mine from waitrose ...Vit c with zinc tablets.. !

Over 80000 investors and some are losing most of their pension pots in this ponzi like scheme orchestrated by the an Australian banker with his mate to promise multi baggers investing in a low quality fertiliser then AAL promised him a great job after encouraging PIs to support their well below value bid.....corruption and conflicts of interest comes to mind..
You have Oddey on your side who is wanting at least 7 p a share though still not ideal but better than the miserable 5p offering by AAL..

Oversold market attracted bargain hunters resulting in relief rally...
Just be on your guard and don’t get sucked in very quickly as the turmoils will continue and only buy on the dips and gradually...
Last Thursday and Friday were perhaps the best buying opportunity but now needs to be more careful when buying..just gradual dips in on the the pull backs...otherwise you will get sucked in early.
It is not over and takes more weeks to settle .
Just imo from my previous times from 1987 crash ,and mistakes!

There will be no bidder in the near future for any oil company in Iraq...we need to understand the geopolitics there and KRG has no authority to sanction or facilitating this ..it is a very different dynamics there but if you are talking about mergers..that is more feasible but not outright bids by any foreign identity...
This is Iraq and no one in history dares to take risk and history taught oil companies this.
