I think if they cut the supply by the wider figure ,it will only give a short lived rally in oil price..
Now it is all about the Coronavirius devastating effects on social and world economy slowdown with the real fear of much lower demands and add to this the usa/china trade negotiations results..
Though I still think all this will be short lived too as our superiority in medical advances and pharmaceutical will prevail. Then we will see the real rebound in oil demands with big squeeze on supplies...

He needs to expand somewhere else to lessening uncertainities of geopolitics Kurdistan,Iraq for the time being then comes back to Kurdistan expansion when things settled a-bit..
However it is encouraging news of his confidence and future investment growth .

DOW will stay volatile in the range of 25300-27500 max for a little while until it safely cross 28000 and stays there for at least two consecutive solid rise to establish upwards movement.
Vix index is high
Gold price still on high side
RSI now 64.8 not far from high average of 70
Coronavirus virus is still lurking in many countries causing political,social and economic problems.
I would trade safely for now on short term trading if you like doing this!

Medium-long term investors have no issue here.
King of energy now is not oil BUT Hydrogen imo... ignore it at your perils:) ,I am heavily invested in this energy sector with its short term volatility..

The opec+ ..Russian oil minister has left to Moscow today before the usual Opec+ Friday press meeting for announcement of any agreement...Not encouraging!
Russia seems happy with Brent $50-60 but not SA..
Increasing supplies with lower demands might continue..
Hope not !

Yes Boyo but call me cynical if I suspect these increasing shale production figures are not quite what they seem to be or make us believe. I think it is fake news and more likely than not ..these production figures include the smuggled oil from Syrian fields and Iraq in hundreds of thousands daily..
Trumpy cannot let the op to be more than $60 Brent that may slow industry productivity and the economy in this year of election.
Syrian and Iraqi oil are being smuggled and stolen through the strong corrupt militias factions under the cover of big power....it is all about oil. The usa is quiet on what is happening in Iraq revolution ,and Syrian war(usa forces only control oil fields at present to keep them safe from the terrorists..oh yes really!) and of course the price for usa keeping quiet is paid by oil. Syrian and Iraqi governments are happy with this to keep them in power too. “So everyone is a winner Rodney “

I agree with H...sp touched £3 with even isil and late payments but now all about stability with functional central government in place to negotiate with then the investment future growth and expansions which we will know on 16/3. Current Low oil price would not help either but a secondary issue to others..
Holding and in no rush to sell or fretted about current SP , with its big dividends coming and huge cash pile accumulating!

Both G and GKP are dreams of any investing strategy and their current SP is great entry for a medium-long term newbie ,and I am keeping mine and wait for the geopolitics to settle there to see their SP flying but at the mean times enjoy the big dividends and wait as we are in bottom of a bad situation. OP of course helps but will not give us the real values of these two gems at present.
Again market doesn’t like uncertainty but for people who know Kurdistan and its connections to usa,russia and others will feel safe. Huge resources there to be protected by these countries with their inherent vital interest. Holding strong here

I believe the issues of G and GKP is mainly geopolitical and op comes second.
Currently in Iraq in a bad unstable political situation and national demonstrations since last October and the current government is in paralysis to negotiate with KUrdistan in any aspects.
The expectations are a revolution is taking place and kurdish MPs and sunnis MPs boycott to the house of the parliament there is making this more complicated.
G and GKP and other IOC in Kurdistan,Iraq in a limbo with uncertainty which is reflecting the current SP. just imv.

I am looking to add to my big holding in PHE as I think there is a great increasing interest in their products..but dyor as always

Trading today will be interesting and picking a few trashed value shares will not be difficult but no more G or GKP(in the back draw for now as had loads) and they will rise from the ashes..
But many others were bashed and don’t have G and GKP uncertainities.
There is life beyond them!
Opportunities there to be grabbed if you have balls of steel only but not for investors with heart pacemaker or fragile health..

Nothing wrong with internal dynamics of the markets but only affected by the Coronavirius/media external factors which should disappear soon and all goes back to normal and this small buying opportunity will disappear soon ,not like other previous corrections/crashes where the internal dynamics were the issues and took long time to recover .so either you buy at much higher prices later on OR just sit tight and shut the computer for a couple of weeks..:)
