Usual poor Monday racing but there are a couple I'm interested in. On the way to Perth back 3years ago with Paddy Brennan I said to him it's a bl@@dy long way to go for one ride! Paddy replied when you think you can win I'd go double the distance and EMILY'S FLYER won at 6/1! I could have booked a northern jockey but Paddy wouldn't have it and hopefully he can score at Ayr tomorrow on OSCAR BLUE EW in the 3.15 it's a long way from his Gloucestershire home! My other adviced bet is at Plumpton 4.10 LILYWHITE GESTURE EW with Gareth Malone 7lb claim getting 11lb from favourite who has gone up 10lb and he's working and schooled well. GLA

I must confess I came out winning ihad £3.73 to win on MAN FROM SAVILLE my odd balance on my Betfair account at 34/1 and £5 win on GOAL AT 11/1 I couldn't tip MAN FROM SAVILLE because his jumping hasn't been very good at home but worked ok. GOAL was the same been working well but I didn't think it had a hope in hell only put bet on to support the reason it was running in Marks colours. Sally trains point to point horses and GOAL is hers and hadn't won a race since 2013!!

Just made my day watching the GOAL win for Mark Hampson ridden by Broadie Hampson Marks daughter and trained by Sally Randall who is Fergals O'Briens partner. Mark Hampson who was given a month to live in December also won the Royal Atillary Cup at Sandown 10 days ago. Mark was a Sergeant in the Royal Artillery and served 22 years. It couldn't have happened to a better team.

Typical Sunday racing Southwell and Fontwell but one race the 2.40 at Sothwell TICKATACK and ARTHAMINT is for watching only for me I nearly bought TICKATACK from Greame McPherson in 2012 but Andy Weller beat me to it and he's been on the injury list for last 2years and David England my Grand National jockey on Fundamentalist is a hard working jockey who doesn't get many rides but he's a brilliant work rider and schooler and I hope he wins this!! Southwell 3.40 AMIRAL COLLONGES EW could go close. Southwell 4.40 DOLLY DIAMOND for Greame McPherson can win this Archie Bellamy claiming 7lb. Finally 2.10 Southwell BLADES LAD won on the flat here 3weeks ago and Peter Niven will have him well schooled for this and with Brian Hughes in the saddle should run big race. Oh in the 5.10 STAMP YOUR FEET has been working very well but I think Paddy will have a quiet day at Southwell. GLA

Morning all plenty of quality out there today and at Newcastle 2.50 RUSSE BLANC EW we know has the stamina but plenty of horses with chances. In the 3.25 BUN DORAN who won for us last time is highly thought of by the George yard but no Paddy in the saddle today but Davy Russell should go back to Ireland tonight having rode a winner. In the Bumper at Newcastle 5.05. SHAMBOUGG seems over priced to me and should win this. 4.45 CLOUDY BOB EWhas great chance on bottom weight. At Chepstow 3.45 ABRICOT DE L' OASIS EW has a good chance up in class. In the Bumper at Chepstow GEORDIE DES CHAMPS is a whisper from stable connections.
