Thanks all let's see what Saturday can bring for us and at Sandown in the 3.45 FLYING ANGEL EW worked very well last week and had several entries at Cheltenham but he was guaranteed to get a run in the Grade3 class1 Imperial Cup with excellent prize money and Ryan Hatch is the right man to pilot as he knows the horse well. I will have a 2nd bet in the race on a horse who has won his last 5 races and we have been on them SOLSTICE STAR EW. In the 3.45 New. The favourite will be hard to beat but I will have a small bet on COLIN'S SISTER EW who has been working very well. In the 5.20 Chep. EXTREME IMPACT seems over priced at 4/1 and Greame's horses are in good form. GLA

If you go back to my blog of Saturday night page 133 you will read what I said to you about Mark Hampton and JENNIES SURPRISE for the Grand Military Chase. As I said the best occasion of the week unfortunately his daughter couldn't ride because the rules for this race are it must be a Military jockey. Mark is the former Royal Artillery Sergeant who served 22years and was given one month to live in December and he has had 3 winners in the last 3 weeks in his name from Fergal O'Brien and his partner Sally.

Hi emblaze. I did say at beginning of week that it's very poor quality racing before Cheltenham and that several hundred horses are entered for the Festival and the majority of those entered for Cheltenham will not get a run and all grade 3 and above races will be heavily entered because owners are looking for races as they had the readied for the Festival. An Example 5 years ago I entered 5 horses for Cheltenham festival RAZOR ROYAL, HUNTERS PLOY, RORY BOY, FUNDAMENTALIST and APPOLLO CREED and only RAZOR got in to run. I have had 3 betting days and have had a bet today as I can watch racing today. All the selections I put up is what I have studied form on or received info for. My info comes from work riders and others very good friends who are involved with racing. I have owned over 20 horses myself and was also involved as a Racing Manager and as I believe it was LEFKOSIA who posted on line some of the pages from the LANCASHIRE EVENING POST. A very good friend and great trainer Jack Berry said to me one day at York " If horses could talk they would not run in half the races they are entered for".

Agree Phillip very small stakes for next 4 racing days in fact I have only put money on 3 bets all week. Wincanton off Thursday but a couple of interesting races at Carlisle in the 3.40 FLY HOME HARRY Paul Maloney has an excellent strike rate when riding for Alan Swinbank 4.50 VERKO has been in excellent form and the Micky Hammond and Finian O'Toole partnership are in great form and will take all the beating and at Southwell a horse we were on 1st time out 2.10 BUSY STREET should be good enough to take this for us and the 4.25 CROSSE FIRE has a good draw and has won three races over course and distance since Christmas. I think racing is best left alone Monday the 2 NH cards are very poor quality and Wolverhampton is not any better on the all weather!! At Wolverhampton 4.50 MASTERPAVER EW my old friend Franny Norton will give this a big ride!! At Lingfield 5.10 MR MOUNTAIN carrying only 10st6lb can reverse placing so with MANHATTAN SPRING. GLA

Phillip I heard yesterday that MY TENT OR YOUR has been working well and if ANNIE POWER who as a mare can have off days. I have had several mares and everything has to be perfect on the day they work brilliant one day and then you can never tell when they come into season! and flop!

The Nigel Twiston-Davies Camp is all tuned up for Cheltenham and signs are very favourable for a very successful Festival. If you get one winner at the festival it's great for any stable but Nigel has some great chances with BALLANDY, BRISTOL DE MAI, BLACKLION and THE NEW ONE. THE NEW ONE who I remember when he first arrived at Nigel and watching him work the he was outstanding just look at his record and he is now working better than ever he's come spot on for Cheltenham and will give the Irish a race. BALLYANDY will have to come up against something special not to win the Bumper he's something special as I've said before. Daryl Jacob could surprise everyone with BRISTOL DE MAI who is probably the best novice with his fast brilliant way he jumps. A couple of outsiders working well are FLYING ANGEL and COUNT GUIDO DEIRO there's no. Doubt that Nigel knows how to prepare horses for his local course and the Festival. Fergal O'Brien has not got the ammunition that Nigel has at Grange Hill Farm but the few he has ready for Cheltenham PRIDE OF LECALE, PERFECT CANDIDATE, LOVELY JOB and MYSTIFIABLE are all working very well and PERFECT CANDIDATE and MYSTIFIABLE will get a £ ew of my money.
