He's working well and up in trip to 2mile5fgs which should be ideal for him. GLA

Wow that was close today Robert Winstone won the day at 9/1 last night so it was unusual for me to come out on top on a Bank Holiday Monday. I've just watched the video of the race what a ride by Robert! Out with family all day so just caught up. At Southwell Tuesday 1.50 ABIGAIL LYNCH was withdrawn from a couple of races last couple days and Nigel T-Ds horses are running out of their skin lately and this is another working well and down in Grade. In the 5.15 Southwell GET RHYTHM is working well and can beat the favourite. At Hexham 3.05 MAHLER AND ME EW could cause a surprise if his breathing Op works. Finally 4.50 Hexham IMPERIAL ELOQUENCE EW has shown a bit at home and could take this northern Bumper. GLA

Fingers crossed the weather forecasters have got it wrong and Storm Katie misses us!! At Fakenham 3.25 NEWORLD with Alain Cawley riding should go very close and he's working very well this lovely grey gelding. 4.40 Chepstow CHASE THE SPUD who with Paddy aboard won well for us last time and should go close again. In the 2.55 at Chepstow STICKING POINT will be of public interest as he's owned and bred by HRH The Princess Royal. It's great for Martin Keighley to be a ROYAL TRAINER. At Market Rasen 2.50 MILLY BALOO is overdue a win for Tim Easterby. At the same meeting 2.25 NEFYN BAY won three on the trot a year ago and he ran well in his first race at Caterick for 10 months and should be spot on. Finally last but not least Redcar 4.55 ROYAL HOLIDAY with Robert Winston in the saddle he will give this a good ride. I am not a fan of Bank Holiday Monday racing as too many meetings and probably a lot of non-runners !!! GLA

He was declared for tomorrow as it was not certain Plumpton would be on until 10.00 inspection so was declared for 4.40 Chepstow this is always done by trainers when meetings are at risk. Chepstow tomorrow could be in trouble we have a weather warning for very heavy rain over night with possible localised flooding. So FINGERS CROSSED!!

Emblaze CHAMPS will be a non-runner my insider tells me. He won by 16Lengths on that terrible ground.

LEFKOSIA had a double with CHAMPS and SDS in the 5pm. Just watched the video of ALVARADO and PERFECT CANDIDATE working on the gallops yesterday morning both worked very well with 2 weeks to the GRANDNATIONAL and both on course for the day. SGlad a few of you were on the WILDE WOMAN!! At Sedgefield 3.00 TEN TREES Paul Maloney's only ride up North for Alan Swinbank so hopefully he will follow up like he did for us last week. At Plumpton a previous winner for us in the 2.15 ROYAL VACATION won a grade2 for us last time and this grade4 should be a walk in the park and 11/10 is short but a winner in waiting. In the 4.00 BILLY NO NAMES EW has won twice and been placed for us this season and should go close again! I'm hoping that's a double for paddy! The big worry for tomorrow is the going and I'm hoping we don't loose the "GOOD" out of the forecast goings. Still at Plumpton a horse we were on 1st time out over hurdles 4.35 SATELLITE with the Champion elect on has been working and schooled very well. Finally last but not least 5.10 TOUR DES CHAMPS EW has everything in place for a big run with Sam piloting. GLA

Kevin Ryan has come a very long way since his first runner on the 18th June 1998 which was my horse at Ripon and came last of 8. Kevin has sent out over 30 Group winners from the top of Sutton Bank at Hambleton Lodge where we were next door neighbors. In the 2.10 Lingfield GOKEN. Kevin says he's bouncing at home and will take all the beating. GOKEN has excellent form in France sprinting. Willie Twiston-Davies has a good chance on the improving SUNBLAZER EW 2.40 who has won for us in the past. Robert Winston has won several races In my colours and is the most under rated jockey who should get more rides and in 4.15 Lingfield KADRIZZI EW just watch Robert ride he gets so much out of horses' watch his hands' in the last 2 furlongs!! Racing at Chepstow in the 2.40 FUSE WIRE EW . 3.50 LONG JOHN Jackie De Plessis horses are in good form.At Ludlow 3.05 STORMING STRUMPET 5.50 BRAQUEUR D'OR EW Rebecca Curtis has a good strike rate in Bumpers here. Finally in the Hunter Chase at Chepstow 5.30 BARLOW EW This horse is an old favourite of mine! I wonder why but is a course and distance winner. GLA

Two winners today so hopefully a couple on Wednesday. At Haydock 2.20 HOLLIES PEARL we have been on this every run the Bowens regard her as a class act pity about the price. In the 4.30 LORD LANDON is a tricky ride who is a handful on the way to the start but with Paddy on him he should be well tamed. In the 4.50 Warwick TINELYRA EW at 14/1+ could be value he's working well and Conor is in the saddle. Finally one for you all 20.15 Kempton RICH AGAIN EW is a hold up horse and the track should be ideal for his fast finish. GLA

Lets get back on the winning track!! At Exeter 3.40 PORT MELON should improve for the better ground and will be hard to beat and the Nichol horses seem in very good form. Still at Exeter 5.15 CAILLEACH ANNIE EW should go close up in trip for 1st time in a handicap. In the Bumper at Wetherby Paul Maloney has travelled a long way to ride HAPPY HOLLOW for Alan Swinbank and in the same race Kevin Ryan saddles MAYO STAR the word is he has been working well but I will go for the former who is highly rated by the yard. Finally on the all weather at Southwell 2.20 IMJIN RIVER. GLA

Sorry if you had a bet on MISS MAIDEN OVER ran like a donkey that was not expected. Everything was in her favour but that's racing need a couple of good winners to make up for that.

5.20 Southwell MISS MAIDEN OVER Fergal says been working very well and he will be disappointed if not in first three.

At Southwell on Monday in the 2.20 OWEN NA VIEW hasn't got the most impressive form (780655) but those last six runs were in Class1 Class2x4 Class3 this race is a big drop in grade he has been working and schooled well last week and should be to good for the opposition. CAHILL in the 4.20 was racing on the SNOW in St Moritz on Valentine's Day and has some good form on the all weather for Alan King. What a winter holiday take a couple of horses racing and ski-ing when not racing lucky Fergal. Another drop in grade for CAHILL and he has schooled well and should give Paddy at least a double on the day. At Taunton in the 2.40 BROTHERLY COMPANY who has some good flat form can run a big race for Fry and Fehily carrying bottom weight on faster ground. GLA

Back to Sunday poor quality jumps meeting after being spoilt for quality all week! At Ffos Las 2.30 BEAUJOLAIS BOB should be thereabouts and Conor claiming 3lb. At Carlisle 2.15 BARAKA DE THAIX Shoould improve with this better going. Just small bets and hopeful for better racing Monday. GLA
