Hi All. Several reasons I don't like all-weather racing if you take Wolverhampton, Kempton, Linfield and Chelmsford they use the faster Polytrack surface and Southwell use Fibresand which is much slower surface that's why a lot of tipsters don't like tipping at Southwell. Though the other courses have the same type Polytrack you they differ with age and heavy rain make them faster so every course rides differently that's why it's important to follow horses for courses. Also to take into consideration draw bias and kick back which affects lots of horses more than you think. You ask the Jockeys they hate the all-weather racing and would prefer grass every time but they get paid the same and years ago there was no way for flat jockeys to earn a wage between November and March. I had all-weather runners with Jack Berry, Richard Fahey and Kevin Ryan and it ruined a couple of the horses broken blood vessels, sore shins and muscular problems.
