I've just read that if the reactors the Russians are now bombing explode or are exposed it will be x 10 campared to Chenobyl and will lay waste to that part of Ukraine for years.
This action by Russia against a Nuclear facility may be a 'tipping' point for Nato and USA intervention.
Result a World War.

Good morning on this sunny Friday.
Yesterday was again brutal for the FTSE, and HBR lost ground after a good run.
As I write Asia well down following US falls. Oil still rising Gold off a tad. Gas still rising. $ still solid and £ ok but € under pressure. Swiss currency, best choice
Crypto's pulling back after recent gains with Binance saying it will not accept Russia based trades on its platform because of sanctions, or use of Russian Bank cards. As the crypto market is the 'wild west' can it be stopped. US saying strong measures needed to stop crypto breaking sanctions. Lets see, but I'm told by someone who understands this stuff that it could accelerate the demise of de-centralised crypto platforms
Russia vs Ukraine. Putin has basically lost his mind and told his army to destroy Ukraine, same as Syria. Consequences for the people will be dire with cities now falling. The consequences for Russia will be dramatic and put their economy back 20 years. Outright bans on Russian companies, be it on stock markets, or doing business across the world is finished for years to come. Every company from Apple, Nike, Ikea, etc, etc exiting Russia. Even their precious oil/gas supplies are being shunned so only customer is China. Ukraine people continue to show amazing strength against Putin. Will they survive is difficult to say. Russia may be winning the battles now but they will lose everything in the end and Putin name in history will be put alongside other maniac's like Hitler.
Today for FTSE. Hard to even suggest a bounce given its Friday. I don't see people wanting money invested over a weekend when anything can happen. Expect more carnage in Russian linked stocks and Invest Trusts, etc. Liquidity is key at present given 'fire sales' on solid stocks present buying opportunites.
Today for HBR. Logic again says it should rise on soaring oil/gas prices but back to flipping a coin after yesterdays pullback.
All theory of course and all have a lovely day that could be very stressful.

It's called catching a 'falling knife'.
Having done it myself a few times I can only advise against it, better to take the loss and forget it. We all make mistakes.
This is jusf a bit of friendly advice, no nasties intended.

So your back again early morning with your amazing insight into HBR. Are you in fact an analyst, or are you just a 'wannabee'. Do tell. Still confused by 6.75. What can this mean?
And, what tthe hell happened to the RNS you promised
Bit of free advice on your recent Polymetal and Evras 'buys'. I know you lost a great deal of money on these already but I would strongly advise you sell both today and take the loss. My guess is trading in such Russian linked stocks will be suspended soon and a zero value applief so then you lose 100%.
You have a lovely day.
HC
Markets did well yesterday. HBR posted another gain so we stay just above 20p old money.
As I write Asia up after big US market gains. Oil still rising as is Gold. Gas the same. $ really strong and £/€ so so.
Crypto's dropped a bit but 50/50 call if its use gets blocked worlwide. Can it be done.
Russia vs Ukraine. Getting worse by the day but admiration for the Ukraine spirit. Hard to see an end until Putin wins. If he wins then he has to control a country of 44 million who hate him a Russia. Tough job 4sure and Ukraines will keep fighting 4sure.
Today for FTSE. 50/50 call but may see early gains and see what US markets do.
Today for HBR. Logic suggests more uptick given oil/gas prices at record highs. Sadly we didn't get the RNS y11 promised. What we got was him telling us how clever he is, and he knew everything about HBR with fag packet numbers, and he would give us all more words of wisdom shortly. Mmmmm
All theory of course and all have a lovely day. Don't like what I write, don't read it, or filter. Simple.
HC
y11.
I don't know what to say, I'm so disappointed with you, really. You led again. Those that read your posts believed that there would be news on HBR today, you know like an RNS. Pure fiction.
We're now left with your ' I wanna be a broker' spiel that is no better than numbers on the back of a fag packet. Do you not realise that the HBR SP, although rising, is still just above the HBR/PMO price of a year ago but oil/gas prices have reached multi year highs. You can spin it how you want HBR is, and will likely remain, a bad investment.
Apparently, you have a new mate in Kayel who says he understands your words that again 'blow smoke out of your ass'.
Do us all a favour, enjoy the uptick in HBR, but stop with the lies and wanna be smart nonsense. It all makes you sound like the Dumb Muppet you are.
Have a nice day and Kayel read a good book ok.
HC
So y11 you lied yesterday there is no HBR news today as you promised.
You say you, y11, has now given HBR a 6.75 rating. I'm confused, are you in fact an analyst. I'm more than happy for you to explain yourself to me, and others, as you promised. Unlikely I know but you may amaze me.
Anyway, you have a lovely day on the Muppet farm.
HC
Well Baccs you have done well. Not sure what a couple of shares in HBR and four in Dark gave you in profit but again well done.
As with your Muppet mate y11 'don't blow smoke out of your own ass' because you got a win its a bit embarrising.
Have a lovely day.
HC
Good morning y11.
See your up with the 'larks' again, bit of a worry. You must really like my daily early morning posts, kinda fits with tea and toast.
Anyway, I, and I'm sure many others, await todays HBR news. I'm excited that you have such great inside information that your sharing with us all. It may help us with our HBR/PMO investment going forward. Once this news breaks today can you keep your promise and explain everything to me, and others. Thanks.
On the Blackrock thing, you know you saying great minds think alike and stuff. So your saying your on a par with Blackrock at investing . Really. You say Blackrock doubled down on Pollymetal so I assume you did the same, clever stuff. What about your recent Evras investment. Did you double down on this one too. Do tell, and tell us again about the 'loads of money' your making from these great new investments after you sold a 'massive' portfolio only a few days ago.
There is an old saying, 'if your digging a hole know when to stop digging'. Another one, 'don't blow smoke out of your own ass'. Kinda fits your 'guru' status.
Will be in touch later once the HBR news 'breaks'.
You have a lovely day.
HC
Good morning on this sunny Wednesday.
FTSE got bashed Tuesday as did most markets. HBR held a gain above 400p which is 20p old money so back where we started a year ago.
As I write Asia down as was US. Oil is really soaring and Gold down a tad but good bet. Gas on the up. $ solid and £ and € so so.
Crypto's still gaining with large trade volumes but World Banks and Governments now realise its being used to move Russian assets so expect hard crypto sanctions. Will they work. No idea.
Russia vs Ukraine. Big move by China to enter on the side of Ukraine in peace talk on humanitarian grounds. Sounds odd for China given people dying ain't normally a priority. It appears Putin is now left with no choice but to try and flatten Ukraine. Could be very costly. You know War Crimes and stuff.
Russian companies listed on world markets likely to be suspended as with Russian linked Inv Funds. The likes of Evras and Polymetal to be kicked off FTSE given their SP has tanked. Outright ban looks imminent. More companies with ties to Russia removing board members, et al. Shell following BP here.
Countries releasing oil 'reserves' will have little impact. Need OPEC to step but UAE is 'in bed' with Putin so see how that works.
Amazing Swiss introduced sanctions. They didn't do that in two world wars. Baffling is Israel 'sitting on the fence'. Why. Of all the countries to join the fight against Russia it should be Israel.
Today for FTSE. Could be a tough day. Hard to see positives other than maybe energy and defense stocks.
Today fir HBR. I make no comment but await the breaking news that y11 says will be announced this morning and then y11 will tell us all what it means. It appears y11 has 'insider information'. I suppose the main point is that HBR has risen well in recent days so MM's see something we don't. Interesting.
All have a lovely. Don't like what I write, don't read or 'filter'. Simple.

Hi Baccs me old mate.
Really missed your intellectual and thoughtful views on World Events, the markets, and even good old HBR. Sadly, you again have nowt worth saying other than the usual bile and nasties. I could just ignore you, and accept your a stupid turd, but I feel its my duty to respond if only to give you something to read wherever it is you live in Muppet Land.
I do have a question. You told me weeks ago you filtered me because your Psychiatrist told you your obsession with me was a real concern, but here you are, so what happened.
I have another question. Are you and y11 the same person, or is it your just best mates and both just live in the same Muppet Cave. The reason I ask. You both come out with the same daily inane nonsense with nothing witty or informative about anything, even HBR. Do you both exchange 'notes', or is it you both sleep in the same Muppet Cave 'sleep bag'.
Gotta laugh 4sure.
You have a lovely day and please read stuff. My stance on HBR has changed for a few days now from 'sell' to 'weak sell', so do keep up, ok.
HC
Good morning y11. Good to see you came out of your Muppet Cave.
Let me be honest and frank. I've been doing this for many years and do not profess to be an investment guru. I win a few and lose a few and before this war I was doing ok. Markets change so I'm hopeful the market will calm down but turmoil brings opportunities.
You, by comparison, are just a blatant liar. Your use of of the word 'massive' is stupid, and actually suggests your just a penny trader but you want us all to think your a major 'player'. This you ain't 4sure.
Selling high and buying cheap is a risky game that takes skill, understanding of risk/reward, and a pot of availble funds. All of these things your turnip of a brain lacks.
So with your 'loads of money' you brought Evras, Polymetal and Ferrexpo and now your making yet more 'loads of money'. Have you actually watched the SP of these 3 stocks.
You have a nice day.
HC
Jeff
Your correct shifting Bitcoin easier than carrying gold bars into a pawn shop. I don't own crypto's so my knowledge is limited.
Just watched Hilary Clinton saying US Gov will attempt to block crypto as their aware Russian elite are using it to get around bank sanctions..it was known a great portion of crypto was owned within Russia so now on the Fed radar.
HC
Good morning y11
Reading yesterdays posts I see a few you posted later. Reading these is kinda funny and leads me to ask, are you just stupid, or really stupid. Do tell. Your telling everyone on HBR Board that what you write on stocks is fantastic and always 100% correct. Really.
Listen dude if your that great at investing why are you posting on LSE HBR daily and not travelling the world spending your 'loads a money'. As I said to you yesterday, your having a few good days with HBR, but don't let that 'go to your head' and run away spending the few bob you made, things can change, quickly. Saying your somehow an 'investment guru' is embarrassing. You ain't, and you never will be.
A question. Last week you 'ramped' Evras, how is your investment in that company going. You did the same with BP so same question.
You have a lovely day in your Muppet Cave and do take the Meds.
HC
Good morning on this sunny Tuesday. Traffic ok but still too many motorbikes.
FTSE recovered heavy losses yesterday but still ended down with 250 Index doing well. HBR had another good day.
As I write Asia generally doing well. US Dow dropped but Nas was up. Oil gains slowing but Gold doing well. Gas still rising. $ still strong and £ ok. Euro recovered a bit. Bond Yields iffy but safe have means demand is strong with rotation out of the markets.
Crypto's making a go of it. Another 'dead cat bounce' or an indication that its being used as a means of 'money/asset transfer' by those affected by sanctions. The Rouble ain't gonna buy much but a bit of Bitcoin may work.
Russia vs Ukraine. Peace talks amounted to nothing and Zeplensky holding strong. Looks like Putin is surrounding Kyiv with heavy military so expect mass destruction if they launch a full offensive. Will the Ukraine people 'bend the knee', unlikely. They will continue to fight and use in country insurgency to attack Russian soldiers with a high body count. Will this war end quickly, unlikely given Putin needs to win and Ukraine will not give up. Chemical or nuclear options are Putin last call. He used Chemical weapons in Syria and Georgia so why think he will not use them now.
FTSE today. 50/50 call with possible early gains but will await US markets opening. Energy and defence stocks should again do well plus beaten up Banking stocks now dirt cheap on multiples and Divi's. Anything linked to Russia or Ukraine will continue to get hammered. BP suffered yesterday, hard to see anything other than a 25bn loss, selling their 20% stake in Rosneft will be impossible. Norway 'wealth fund' similar problem. Putin will grab any Western assets, who's gonna stop him.
HBR today. Will the gains continue and break £4. Possible given the price of oil/gas. Next report may indicate their true FCF position, and Capex, write offs, etc, but could also be more 'smoke and mirrors'. Will Tolmont work, who knows. HBR exposure to the North Sea could be a real factor. What were viewed as limited resources could be enhanced if the UK Government pump money into the North Sea, and to those in play, to achieve increased energy supplies for the UK. The idea being that Russia is no longer a reliable or viable option. Other European countries like Germany are at last waking up to Putin use of energy supplies as a 'weapon' and are starting now to build massive oil/gas storage facilities to import energy supplies from other countries. Nordetsream 2 is now just a very expensive unused pipeline. Nordstream 1 passes through Ukraine, and my guess is the Ukraine's will blow this up in the not to distant future.
All theory of course and all have a lovely day. Don't like what I write, don't read it or press 'filter'. Simple
HC
OBNO - Not recently but worth considering given some are very beautiful and many guys have made the mistake but awoke with a shock in the morning. What's your experience as you appear knowledgeable. Not sure on 'Heat 2' reference. Is that a remake of the movie Heat, with Pacino and De Niro, great movie.
Have a nice day.
HC
Good morning y11.
Why on earth are you awake at this ungodly hour to read my early morning post. I'm beginning to think you actually set your alarm clock to 5.0 am and sit waiting for my posts. Why do you even read my posts given they upset you so. I still don't understand why my posts, which are just my comments and views today on world events, markets, etc, continue to upset your turnip of a brain. is it an intellect thing. Do you lack the ability to write anything of interest that is worth tuppence so you target others that do write things that may be of interest. Sadly, I think this is your problem and the reason for your obsession with me. Baccs has similar problems but thankfully he is now seeing a psychiatrist and taking his meds.
Obviously, I've watched and read the news, its riveting at the moment, hence my lengthy post. As for your 'ramping' of HBR, again, that's a puzzle. Really, £8. Do you think a share that tanked from 440p+ to 340p+ or - after the CMD, is now going to rise by more than 100%. Oil was at one point $ negative and HBR was 20p old money. Now HBR is 18p old money with oil at $100+ so where you do get your fantasy numbers from. Your the same Dumb Muppet who said a few weeks ago that you had sold all your HBR shares (2 only), and would only rebuy within a range of 10p to 200p, and tell us other Muppets your reasons which inferred 'insider information'. What happened dude to change your mind so dramatically and rebuy at 350+. Is it that Vlad Putin is a mate and called you personally and told you he was going to start a war so buying HBR would be a good idea. Do tell.
As for your Evras and HBR ramps last week, and your stated amazing ability to second guess the markets with your investment prowess. Come on dude, get real. Ok your having a couple of good days, but the 'loads of money' stories are exactly that, just stories. Be honest, don't just tell us all when you get a winner, tell us when you also get a loser.
And, to cheer you up I've changed my stance on HBR from 'sell' to 'weak sell'. My reason, that the North Sea will again become a major source of UK energy needs. Will HBR be part of that on a profitable basis remains to be seen.
You have a lovely day and keep up with the meds.
