Noticed there were 3 consecutive trades at 12:41, each trade for 1 share only. Then again at 12:42 another 3 consecutive trades each trade for 1 share only! What's going on there then? I smell a rat!

The big American Banks are due to release their 2nd quarter earnings report at 08:00 ET today. Thats 13:00 BST. Should get a better idea from this of the impact of COVID on the economy and possible direction of markets going forward. Notice there was a big sell of across the pond last night.

Hi Crocqman......Thanks for your viewpoint. But even if you sell to a middleman, the middleman becomes the buyer and it is regarded as a trade surely, even if he holds? Then when he sells the share on it becomes another trade with a seller and buyer?

How do you calculate the SP is a discount to NAV? Latest NAV is 147p and SP is 174p so this is a Premium of 18%?

Yesterday there was 1.9 million sells and 6.2 million buys. I have been trying to understand the dynamics of how these figures are derived daily for all shares, not just L&G? When a share is traded there has to be 1 seller and 1 buyer so surely the volumes sold and bought every day should be equal? So how do they calculate sold and bought volumes? Appreciate any explanations?

I think this is misleading. The information shown just shows what the financial dates are going forward which were already decided at the start of the financial year. It should not be read as confirmation that an interim dividend will be declared or paid. This will only be finally confirmed one way or the other when the half year report is released on 4th August.
