After climbing to 80p early August there has been a slow retrace back to sub 70p. Was not expecting this after the quarterly dividend declaration 1.5p for the rest of the year. Any opinions why sentiment has changed downwards again?

It was said earlier that todays SP rise is attributable to FTSE 250 and 350 funds buying in? Will there be an equal fall in SP when ITV officially drops out of FTSE 100 on 23rd September I believe and the subsequent selling then of the stock by FTSE 100 funds?

Has ITV been confirmed as relegated from FTSE 100? Sky News says yes?

There is quite a difference to the LSE statement of declared short positions open on Hammersons which is 7.79%, and other short websites; Shorttracker.com and Shortdata.co.uk both state that the open short positions are 14.04%? What is the consensus on what the SP will likely be after completion of the rights issue?

Do you follow Investec as well? They seem to be in the same ball park at the moment? May be worth a punt as well?

It appears the market does not like the Merian deal? There was a slow steady rise in SP from the March lows to end of June, and then a slow decrease in SP from when the Merian deal was finalised 1st July, even after a 6p interim dividend was declared. Both Merian and Jupiter did suffer large outflows from there funds, not sure if this was purely performance based or other dynamics in play?

The RNS dated 1st July stated that Jupiter had to issue 95,360,825 new shares to the sellers of Merian. Has this diluted the value to shareholders?

Thanks for reply. The SP seems to have backed off quite a bit of late. Is there any link with this and the take over of Merian?

Has the Merian deal now been completed? Not heard much about it, seems to have fallen of the radar?

With the SP creeping up today seems people are anticipating a good interim update tomorrow?

Legal and General maintained interim Dividend but the market does not like the figures and they have gone down this morning while most everything else up. Direct line up another 3%.

That link is for an article published on 10th July so kind of old news.

Aviva have stated that they will reconsider dividends in the 4th quarter 2020. So in reading that I guess we can expect there will be no reference to dividends in the interim results due next Thursday? If they decided in the fourth quarter to reinstate dividends, when would the first x-dividend date and payment date?

San......BT have cancelled/suspended dividends. They have said that the intention is to start paying dividends again in 2022 around 7.7p level, but not guaranteed.
